5th Doctor is so underrated, probably due to the fact he came after the 4th😅 but he still had some great stories!

Davison really got the short end of the stick most of the time but boy a lot of his stories let him flex his acting chops and allow 5 to become so much more than the imposing figure of his former incarnations. Also gotta love David Banks, can’t go wrong with him.

I miss the days when you could throw a gold necklace at Cybermen and they would fall down dead.

And in 10 days Tegan will not only be reuniting with the Doctor but facing the Cybermen once again, albeit Cybermen that are much more advanced than the ones she previously dealt with! So excited!!

The best thing about Earthshock and Attack of the Cybermen is how cunning and brutal the cybermen can be.

"...you would be rather crumpled," line makes me laugh every time.

The Cyberleader in this story is rather a sick sadistic and possibly psychotic individual, I don't think he was fully converted.

Loved the cyberman designs in this classic episode

David Banks was perfect for the role as the extremely popular villainous Cyber-Leader. They should definitely bring him back to voice this iconic Cyber-Leader.

I love the noises these 80s cybermen make whenever they are hurt or dying, it's hilarious. If they Don't feel pain why do they cry out like that?

“ Are they all so dedicated? Compared to some, this one is positively flippant. “ “ They also enhance life. When did you last have the pleasure of smelling a flower, watching a sunset, eating a well prepared meal? These things are irrelevant. For some people, small beautiful events is what life is all about. “ “ I now have control over you, Doctor. All I need do is threaten the woman’s death for you to obey me. “

Love how the Doctor comments on how emotional Cyberleader is compared to some of his past brethren.

These are some excellent Cybermen! Cold, logical and calculating. Much better than the blindsided killing machines shouting "Delete!" of NewWho.

I think the older cybermen is better then the newer cybermen

Its gunna be interesting to see tegans reaction to having to face the daleks and cybermen again. Both stories hit her chatacter really hard, lot of deaths

I know many people who are as adept at controlling others with emotion as the Cybermen.

I thought the TARDIS had a system in place where all form of weaponary fire won't work.

*Time-Flight Episode 1* opens with *Nyssa, holding a pencil and notepad,* (whilst *failing to acknowledge her grief* ) closely shadowing The Doctor, *(doing likewise)* as he operates the console, following him around, verbally confirming with him in a somber tone of voice, as they quietly finishing off the main outstanding chore of *reading-off* all of the outstanding loose-ends that needed to be resolved, whilst *ticking them off* on a *’TO DO’* List; and yet, this had somehow never had occurred to me before now, but - *This is the first time when the TARDIS has a dead human body on the floor, which has to be returned, somehow, to Professor Kyle’s Family, accompanied by at least *some* form of explanation as to what the hell actually HAPPENED to kill their daughter, the PaleoGeologist, somewhere out far into Deep Space --

How come they don't have a clip of Peter telling us to subscribe? Don't they have that for the other living doctors?

Odd that it hasn't been revealed how the Cybermen figured out that the Doctor is a Time Lord and that he travels in a TARDIS, and that he can regenerate, though he didn't tell them about his name in this adventure before they took control of the space freighter. The other times before this adventure he didn't tell them about his ship.

I love the Cyberleader the line compared to some this one is quite flippant I do love the old design of the Cybermen

I adore this story. But without getting too inside nerd, no true Cyberman would ever be this rich of a character. This is played like a Bond villain. But it works.

Can we all agree that the new doctor who needs to be written as doctor who and not yet another political agenda, we had all of that with Jodie we do not need to know about how because the doctor is now black for the first time that everyone hates him throughout history we do not need an episode where the doctor gets mad at people because of slavery or something, we do not need a history lesson on what happened to black people, the doctor is an ALIEN he is not black he's literally a semi polymorphic alien, we need episodes about the doctors adventures, everyone is well aware of the atrocities of history when we sit down to watch doctor who we want a fun, sometimes scary and funny, somewhat serious show, we do not need another series, like the millions that come out these days that have a political agenda that are trying to raise awareness about something we already have all of that just give us doctor who nothing more nothing lessm

Don't get me wrong, I love Doctor Who, but you could tell why popularity for the show began to fall out of favor around this time. Compare the scene at 2:10 to other popular Sci-Fi media at the time, like Star Wars, Star Trek, Alien. Even by the standards of the time it was pretty....cheesy

I thought it at the time... and I still think so now, 40 years later...Nyssa (Sarah Sutton) concealed a nice little body under that outfit.😎 I may not have been a fan of her face. But I definitely was of her body.😁

Calling them "Sir" after lecturing them is the 1st Doctorest thing the 1st Doctor has ever done.
