Child support is no joke. They’ll take your license, fuck your credit, even a professional license like an armed security guard license, even your freedom. My dad was in prison for 1 year and still had to pay. I payed and made sure they knew every time I got a new job or anything. They don’t play.

I had custody of my son, went to court for child support because I broke my spine, the court appoints an advocate for the 'child'. It became clear the advocate didn't like the fact a woman was taken to court, the advocate kept trying to tell me to take half what the standard is. The Judge asked me to work repeatedly even though i had a huge medical file and was medically retired. The court did everything possible to help her not pay, offered her free legal advice. At every step of the way, it was clear the system is not ment to help men.

My ex had my daughter tell cops she found a crack pipe when we lived together so they would evict me. They did. My daughter is 18 now and I never paid child support but I slept in a tent for a month once to keep my ex and her kids in their home. My daughter is old enough to hear the truth now and guess what? She thinks I’m lying. Watch out who you make a baby with. Spend years getting to know someone. That was 18 years wasted, co-parenting with the only person I hate on this planet. Went to court for 10 years, every year. She used her boys against me because I raised them but have no rights to them. I’m a good dad and most the kids I raised have graduated or are in a university. But the best thing I can teach them not to make my mistakes and why.

Why do you think he doesn't want it?? All I see is a dude fed up with the court system that you can't win in. My brother went through he'll for custody rights, and was fought all along the way. His ex would just make stuff up, and drag out the process and they let her every time. At a certain point, everyone has a breaking point, where there just like "f it, it's destroying me trying to fight it."

5:54 -- Seriously though... The number of dudes I was incarcerated with who were there simply for being deadbeat dads and not paying child support was insane, and a few of them owed in upwards of $30-50k or more. While I certainly agree that there are plenty of instances where the courts are unjust with this particular issue, more often than not it's fairly legitimate. And your options are definitely limited if they rule against you too, but the most important thing in that situation is the child you brought into the world. It's a travesty that so many individuals have a problem co-parenting to the point that it has to be settled in court in the first place. Don't ever bring a child into this world if you aren't prepared for a lifetime of commitment and selfless sacrifices.

It's far from legitimate most the time. Government has no business getting involved in Family affairs. Is the court concerned with receipts making sure the child is getting support? Show me just 1 case where they do. Show me a case where the judge insists both parents show equal support for the child because truly that's what's best for the child but nope

When my wife and me split up I went myself to the courthouse and filed for me myself to pay child support everybody should pay child support I believe strongly in that I've been on both sides of it I pay child support and my oldest daughter I adopted her dad has never paid a dime and was in the military and never paid a dime to be a dad you have to be a dad and support the children
