You know, I've written a story about two childhood friends that became lovers, comforting each other whenever the weight of their tragic lives starts to take its toll on them. I've often wondered if I was being too sappy when I write their romantic scenes...but then I see shit like Endless Love (1981) with lines like 'We'll die together' or the unstable lead whining about how being separated from his girlfriend is killing him. And the instability would've worked as it did in the novel, but this movie tries its hardest to portray an ARSONIST STALKER as the hero. Because god forbid having a cautionary tale about obsession and youthful idiocy. Let's instead have the mom want to fuck her daughter's boyfriend and watch them have sex. Great job taking this abomination apart, Brad! You and Krisom Rouge have both done an amazing job taking these horrible adaptations down!

I mean, looking back at it, David is not at fault for the father's accident. If anything the father died by his very own doing. He spotted the guy in the crowd and decided to chase him just because. David didn't do anything wrong yet and his only mistake at that time was being coincidentaly in the street across from the dad, who in change walked to the other side while the trafic was still moving. Yeah, David still went after Jade despite knowing how much of a bad idea that was, but that doesn't have anything to do with the encounter.
@pinkpearl19675 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this. I just watched this movie for the first time. It's INSANE. Among *many* problems, notice that no one is worried about how all this affects Jade, other than her not getting enough sleep and her grades falling. Is the sex consensual? Are they using contraception? Is she actually enjoying the relationship? How does she feel about almost dying in a house fire set by her boyfriend? The film doesn't spend any time on that. But it spends LOTS of time on how rough it all is on *David*. Because a guy not getting to fuck the girl he wants to fuck is a human rights violation. This is a movie for incels, ahead of its time.
