I have not been this happy for the start of a new GSL season in years! I mean I've watched and loved every season, but with last season while the games were great, it felt like the endtimes of GSL are upon us. But now we're back in the studio and the future of my favourite show seems brighter! Thank you Afreeca, Tasteless, State, all the pros and especially thank you all the fans for literally keeping GSL alive!

Hes been back for half a year so he got enough practice already, he just wasnt very active outside of GSL. But yeah, I hope all the top players coming back at a decent level as well, Parting Trap and Zest back would be great for Protoss.

@@sunfire65phwell it is sad that they nerfed protoss so much in the January patch. Protoss was already struggling at the professional scene and the mass nerfs in January seem to have wiped out protoss.

Super Excited to see GSL back in studio. I wish with all my heart I could afford to go to Korea to see these amazing gamers play! Also super glad the got State to cast. Obviously (no offence to State) the rapport with Tasteless and Artosis, will go unmatched (They were literally one of the few, pretty sure only, two have a combination of names) But State brings amazing genius to these casts, and also has fun. Great job State. You've got some large shoes to fill, and you're doing great so far

Really impressed by TY. He showed a weird by today's standards kind of a retro style, even akin back to SC1 (I think even Tasty caught on that, as he should), not exclusively bio or mech and not even a Maru-style ghost-mech, but an army mix that actually works, I especially liked how he did the minefields, spreading his mines in key spots and sometimes one next to another (those mines reaped a LOT specially both times against Classic) and his air-Terran counter to air-Toss😳. Another thing I noticed he didn't shy from making up his SCVs once some got killed, always keeping a steady number and overall his micro was on par with today's top players. GG WP indeed!

Why did TY tap out in Game 2? He was up in workers 50 to 39, and down in Army 29 to 41. But i don't see how that's a losing position. Maru busted out, and it's 2 base vs 2 base. I don't understand what's the problem? I believe this is nerves from TY. He should at-least fight to the end. He assumes he's behind, which he wasn't after that bust out by Maru.

Maru already had his 3rd cc made into an orbital, and TY just started his 3rd cc. Plus TY was trying to outkill maru in a 2base push. You cant stop the counter attack from maru when he can disable your tank with his raven and he has 2 or 3 tanks. TY could pull his workers, but that's just throwing the only advantage into the bin

That last Classic vs Bunny game is such quintessential TvP. You just happen to fly under an observer - and the game is over. No skill required from the protoss, just a-move from that point on. One thing goes wrong for terran (not even a mistake) - and it's over.

*spoilers* In game one of the final round, I went back through the game to double check... classic forgets to ever take the gas at the expansion to the northwest of his main... he had 2 more full gas geysers and probably could have won the game easily if he had taken them.
