For the most part, people usually talk about being willing to get married to so you kinda know they'll be willing to say yes and that's typically when you'll get these disclaimers. That's when you pick a time to do it and talk to one of her friends or family members or whatever and get them to casually suggest a girls day to do the nails before hand. As someone who has had to plan the girls day, it's zero effort on your part and is super fun for everyone involved. If I am gonna get married I would want the wedding and engagement to be in theme/color I like. I only really wear silver, and gold (or another metal like bronze. Steel, Iron or Silver is the preference) would not match or work with anything I wear. I wouldn’t say no, but I would be bothered by the mixing of metals, and I would end up obsessing over buying jewelry that matches. I don’t agree with the nails thing, But I get it. I mean I would also want to look nice and feel pretty on such an important day, and getting her nails done is probably just what makes her feel nice
