The harsh truth is student who are working on the skill will get job no matter what and a good paying job. I am in LPU in cse 1st year and I will say that only 6 to 7 percent students are focused but most of them are clueless about future and fields. My brother always guide me and he told me to prepare for gate cse in 2025 if I am interested in cse in my future. So, I am alone in my classroom who had started gate preparation and completed DBMS, Discreet Mathematics before it was introduced. Currently I am focused on C language. Most of the high value placement from private colleges are that most of the student have appeared in gate exam and then got high paying job on the basis of the gate exam. 95 percent student are clueless and are passing their time. Many of them are alcohol or weed addicts and even some of them are drug addicts. Most of the students are wasting their time in BF AND GF things. I will say that even though you have not qualified for jee don't give up bcoz I haven't given up. Everyday after classes I am studying 4 hours of self study and I do all my chores myself. Either it be cooking or cleaning or laundry. There's a lack of job can be true but there's lack of skilled person is true.

I started my journey from a private college under Mumbai University. Got placed in TCS, worked there for 3 years and switched companies later on. Now after 8 years of experience, I am currently working in a product company onsite and on cutting edge technology. I owe it all to 3 documents - my passport, my BTech degree certificate and TCS offer letter. I hate it when people consider the Indian education system as some sort of garbage to be thrown in the dustbin. Having worked with multinational colleagues, I can say one thing for sure, that India has a world class STEM education which not only helps students get jobs, but also enables them to prosper. Just a little bit of perseverance and hard work is required. Luck will definitely favour you then.

Another problem of high demand of engineering is societal pressure or from families . Me personally i was forced into engineering but i wanted to pursue designing courses like architecture or fashion cuz i like art. Even after completing my 4yr course in Btech i still don't like engineering , most jobs that came are IT jobs but i absolutely hate coding. But fortunately I applied for customer service job from off campus which i also got, it even offers similar starting package as most IT companies that visited my college which is a win win for me, most companies now are not even giving salary for internship nowadays too. And I wont deny that I had to pick engineering colleges and study hard for them after passing 12th but I was basically brainwashed that engineering is the best of jobs and most students like me believe that too, cuz asking some 17,18 yr olds to choose their carriers what do u think? Many are gonna be clueless at that stage of life. So anyone reading this, if u are confused abt ur future . Keep in mind that if u choose something that u really want, that is going be the best course/study/ college/job for you! And even if u took this path of engineering and still not liking it, its ok, research and choose the option best for u ,later, cuz by the time of ur graduation u hv the ability to think for ur self now. U can also do a job meanwhile working to pursue ur dreams. There are plenty of online and free courses nowadays to study from.

My goal was just getting a job above 10 lpa. Got it and added perks were office was just about a couple kilometers away and they gave free lunch too. Whatever you just said in the video is completely true. Me being a student from the core branch of Electronics had to heavily upskill in order to get a Job at Razorpay as a Data Associate. Hard work always pays off no matter which field you are in.

Currently in most of the colleges the placement is only for CS IT, EnTC. Other Core Branches have very little chance in Tier 3 and below colleges. Even if they get a job the Salary is less. I don't know about Tier 1 and Tier 2 colleges, But for Tier 3 and below this is the condition. So if you want to do Engineering, so to make your life easy try getting into Tier 1 and Tier 2 colleges Aur Tier 3 mein bhi acche college dhundo State ke College bhi acche hai . It's not like you can't make it from Tier 3 colleges but you also need to do the extra work. And I think working hard for 2 years in 11th and 12th is better than working hard for 4 years of engineering and 2-3 years of Corporate Life to get what you want. Aur ha CS IT ke case mein College ke sirf 5-6 subject matter karte hai baki to phir tum aur tumhare skills hi 12-15 Lakh ka package dega tumhe

Not all Engineering graduates are Engineers - GOAT

In my school we had only two choices medical/non medical engineer/doctor. If I has the choice I would have studied in Singapore there schools are really good and they have so many different opportunities. Students who want to go into service or hospitality sector are taught how to be barista etc. They are taught practical skills. FK indian education system we are so backwards. We also have borderline psychopathic society so much jealousy, constant comparison, belittling, competition, inferiority I feel so sorry for the young kids. I still get nightmares of my college when I wake up I realise that I have already graduated and I feel so relieved. I have PTSD after studying in SRM University Chennai. All cause my dad had too much expectations from me and wanted the best for me. All I wanted was to drop and get the college I deserved. Srm University is not a bad University infact I learned a lot there from the people and my professors but it wasn't for me. My cousin recently had a baby boy and her mother in law is saying stuff like ye to SDM bnega. Mei soch rahe the kya bakwas hai ye

Honestly, we can blame colleges all we want, but the real reason is that people are getting smarter. Just competing the degree with even the best marks is not enough in this day and age. Colleges are meant to make you realize what you need to do, you have to go study outside of college, get involved in as many opportunities as possible. I also graduated from Amity in 2019, but I make over 30L/year currently. It's not hard, it's just that people don't have enough motivation to study outside of the college curriculum which is absolutely crucial.
