She just wanted him to straighten up and be responsible because he had such a long pattern of not supervising his children He heard that and thought “instead of being a father, I’ll lie to my children, screw with their heads, and randomly scream at them during our time together”

When you really think about it, its sad that he even felt he had to resort to this tactic. Miranda was deliberately interfering with Daniel’s custody time repeatedly & didn’t seem to care at all. Making them late repeatedly & showing up early demanding they leave now, all without notice or a valid reason, is not okay & if he had a good lawyer this would be shut down

He just couldn’t resist taking a risk or two in life and acting the ultimate role all in one. But he comes good by the end. The final few scenes are so incredibly moving and the films score is classic 90s music for the silver screen.

Even when I watched it at the time as a child, I found the whole premise disturbing. I was seeing it from the point of view of the kids and was upset that they were being kept apart from one of their parents just because of something going on between the parents. That seemed really awful to me as a child.

Honestly, I never expected to love this movie so much as an adult. This came out in 1993 when I was 11 years old, so I enjoyed it on a children's level. Now with 39 and being a dad this hits different. Love this movie and Robin Williams.
