@@robinlabouche2230 oh hang on, they refused to play him even tho he was an important player for a title challenging team, the assistant coach apparently asked him to do stats and everything for the team, that is why Ben white lost it with the assistant coach and refused to play with England, I don't blame him at all if that was true.

I was a big Sancho fan in the early days...reality is he needs to play at his best for 2 seasons to have a sniff of getting back in the England set up. Too much reliable talent in his position

Yep. I'd have picked Harvey Elliott over him every day of the week. That said, at this stage, I don't think I'd have picked Elliott, yet. The midfield still needs an older head in there to come off the bench when a game needs 'seeing out', not specifically Milner/Henderson, but someone with a lot of experience.

Being from England is what The English press needs to stop the hype before every tournament only to cry after. They cycle is the same: 1) Hype 2) Get through the group stages with more hype 3) football's coming home. Then 4) whether it's the 2nd round or the final as soon as England meets a true favorite to win.... they lose. Rinse and repeat from 1970 to right now

As a Dortmund Fan i can tell you Sancho was just average. He had one really good game against PSG and thats it. Dier should have been in there. He was Bayerns best Defender

For all the talk of Rashford being excluded and Grealish being included in the preliminary squad, the player being overlooked the most is Harvey Barnes. Prior to joining Newcastle last summer, Barnes had 44 goals and 30 assists in his past 4 seasons for Leicester. Barnes was injured a lot of this season and only played 852 minutes but still managed 5 goals and 3 assists (G/A every 106 minutes). In addition to his numbers, Barnes is a work horse, has phenomenal combination play, has a terrific shot, is selfless, and is a true winger. He is one of the most underrated English players out there who is hardly talked about by the media.
