It's France or Germany for me. i think France are deservingly the favourites but i'll point out that Germany has beat them twice in the last 6 months. I think Germany may have finally turned the corner and if Wirtz and Musiala get into a groove anythings possible

Austria being overhyped like Denmark was in the WC in 2022. We all know where they will end up. Eliminated in the group stage 😂

I find that we forget Switzerland too much because they are present in every competition and manage to perform and they have a lot of quality players in this squad like Akanji, Schar, Xhaka, Zakaria, Sommer, Embolo and young people promising like Zeki Amdouni or Noah Okafor

The problem with the Swiss is that no matter how good their squad actually is, and this is certainly the best they've had that I can remember, they've always been let down by the most boring conservative managers. They always felt incredibly stifled and locked

Germany not only defeated France but almost crushed them, impressive! Still, in a tournament France is still my favorite: smart, sharp, talented, experienced and indeed incredibly deep squad which you need for a Euro. And Mbappé of course... Only their french arrogance stands in the way of another title. And for that, their loss against Germany could be a blessing wake up-call (remember their dramatic 1998 preparation resulting in... the world cup)

Italy wins again I think. Their team has a block of Inter players plus a great keeper and Chiesa up front. Yes France, Germany are stronger, but Italy just behind them and if the bracket falls their way, they win.

Italy will be lucky to get to the quarter finals the current team will not get anywhere near winning it they arent as good as they were a few years ago.

@@roccosage8508 Italy went into the last euros on fairly strong form they were still unbeaten for 30 something games in a row leading up to the tournament and had a strong defense etc a few of those players are no longer in the squad or retired now they almost failed to qualify for this euros they are definitely not favourites they were seen as one of the top 3 favourites last time anything can happen but I highly doubt italy will go far this time.

@@alanchamberlain9902 you’re preaching to the choir. I was quoting what others were saying about Italy in 2021. They were saying that Turkey was a dark horse to win the tournament and would steam roll Italy in that first game. Imagine that.

Everyone keeps saying this country beat that country and therefore they should be favourites, that’s not how football works. England’s recent results have been poor but they go up a level at competitions. You know they’ll end up in the top 4 at least. And the winner will be from the France/England semi final.

It is double standards and hate.nothing more. I feel as though the runner-up in Group E (Romania, Ukraine, or Slovakia assuming Belgium takes it) has the best path to a deep run as a sleeper. They get the runner-up of Group D (Netherlands, Austria, or Poland assuming France wins it) in the round of 16, and likely the winner of Group F (likely Portugal, but also Turkey, Czech Republic, and Georgia) in the quarterfinals. It isn't a lock, but about as kind a path as possible for Romania or Ukraine to go deep. If the group goes to expectations, you could see France, Belgium, England, and the 2nd place team from Group B with Spain, Italy, and Croatia on the other side of the bracket with the winners of Group A (likely Germany) and B away from them until the semis.

I don't know how everyone is sleeping on belgium.. They literally have KDB, Carresco, Lukaku and manager like Tedesco.. Only setback for them it's their defence.. I bet they might reach semi final

even defense has been good. The game we played against England we conceded a pen that isn't a pen lets be honest and a last minute goal. We actually defended really well in that game against the likes of Bellingham and Foden (Ik they didn't have Kane but still they have many good players) and Belgium also missed KDB and Carrasco yet they scored 2 goals while playing defensive just shows how clinical they are

England vs Portugal final, and Portugal will dominate but England will survive and it goes to extra time. Then in like the 113th minute England will get a very controversial decision going their way leading to Bellingham scoring some scrappy winning goal

@@Whoami691 Honestly it could happen, most draw/prediction I see for semi finals have it going Spain/Germany vs Portugal, and England vs France. And if you go strictly by odds + ranking that sounds about right. granted there will be surprises. I think if you go strictly by odds you wind up with France v. Spain.

Theyve been fairly poor in the last few tournaments they're also recently lost and drawn a few of their games before the France win they certainly are far from being favourites but can never be underestimated.

@@charliezz6746 Belgium are literally unbeaten in 12 games under Tedesco while missing Courtois and KDB in most of those games. The current Belgian team is much better than the one from Euro 2021 and WC 2022, with a good mix of young talent and experience.

@@charliezz6746Belgium are actually the only team unbeaten since the WC and they played England and Austria twice who are good teams while missing many players like KDB, Carrasco, Courtois and more. They have some experienced players by reaching to the WC semis and euros quarters in recent years and also got young talents who have been playing well. They are aurely a dark horse

Portugul lose to slovenia -Silence Spain lose to Colombia - Silence. France conceede in *7 seconds* and lose to Germany - Silence England Draw with Belgium - 'OMG England are awful' 'overhyped' overrated' 'never gonna win' 'see, just bottlers' The double standards are nothing short of delusional. Oh but the other 3 are still *'strong favourites'* right? If that was England we would be crucified by every European fan looking to mock us. Every single one. In fact, we were! Even though we had no less than *12 injuries* (which encluded our entire defense, attack and half the midfield) and had to cobble together a team in which many players were debuting! No Kane, Saka, Grealish, Palmer, White, Stones, Ward-Prowse, Reece-James, TAA, Walker, Maguire, Pope or Shaw - And thats just off the top of my head. *And still Belguim didn't win.* And yet all we ever ge is blasted for every single loss. Well you know what? F..k the lot of you.

I do agree that having won it recently France don’t have that weight on the shoulders that England do! And especially with the way English media gets on the England team as soon as they put a foot wrong! But …. There is no denying that England can demolish any team with whichever team u pick ! This will be englands era ! Every team had to stop the rot eventually . Englands turn I recon. If it’s not this tournament it’s coming! Young hungry world class players in abundance

Good luck to Romania, Hungary, Georgia and Ukraine, I think for sure this year in UEFA Euro 2024, one of those countries will make it quite far in the Euros, for sure all these countries are gonna be underdogs, and Willy Sagnol is a good decent coach for the Georgia national team, he is also a former historic legendary Bayern Munich defender! 🙂👍✌️🇷🇴🇺🇦🇬🇪🇭🇺
