Give Southgate the Crystal Palace job and he’ll get them relegated. It’s a shame his private schooling and ability to give press conferences is being weighed equal to actual coaching and managing possibly the best international squad in world football…

In fairness to Ben White, if I saw Maguire start ahead of me over those three years where he seemed to forget how to play football, I'd be angry.

Dude which version of Word cup did you watch and which football team you watching? Maguire was one of the best CB at the world cup and white is not a starting CB😅

@@chimera131986 he was partly responsible for goals against Iran. He was a target for a counter press against Senegal who must have watched Liverpool and spent the first half losing possession regularly. Against France, he was a target for crosses and got caught under many, at one point requiring Pickford to make a point blank save because he couldn't position himself. He also lost the cross which led to the France goal. He was directly targetdd by teams. He's playing very well now but Ive can't believe I spent three years watching a player deteriorate into a disaster only to have people support him

@@eamonreidy9534 your point was ben white over Maguire. Which was incorrect to begin with. Do NOT justify by going around the bush n back. Ben white is not a starting CB. I do not understand why you are defending your first comment when ben white is not even looked at in the 3-lions selection as a CB. He is a RB that can be used as a CB. His utility is desirable as 2nd choice RB behind trent and a 3 choice CB(maybe). Braithwaite would perhaps be 3rd but unsure why he didnt play last two games. Or may be is is the main 3rd choice but GS wanted to see other option before closing that position off. Ben white does not start for 3-lions, period. Trent is miles ahead at RB. Shaw is first choice LB, 2nd is chillwell. Slabhead n Stones are a stable pairing despite their weaknesses. You are proposing a utility RB to play first choice ahead of a CB that has been one of the better English CB in current EPL season?? So tell me where would you play Ben white?

@@chimera131986 you made a stupid point and I gave a retort. White not being a primary starting centre back has nothing to do with my point. He can and does play there. He saw a player for years who was a genuine catastrophe get in ahead of him. It's a valid reason to be irked.

In my opinion, His defensive and fearful mind-set cost england 2 trophies, both were there for the taking, i'm amazed people gloss over this and act like he's a winner. . England have always flattered to deceive, these days they get easy paths to the 1/4 finals and then bottle it against organised teams. anyone who couldn't see on day one it was a doomed appointment, doesn't know much about what it means to win major trophies at international level. i'm sure he feels he has exercised his demons from missing that pen, in the shoot out. i think that will be what he takes away from the job in the end. i just don't see him winning anything.

I can’t imagine why anyone would be amazed that a team with Jesse Lingaard, Deli Ali. Fabian Delpth, Henderson, Loftus-Cheek, Eric Dier, Ashley Young etc wouldn’t win the WC. Honestly, in which universe does that England team beat France?

Mianoo is overrated by the mainstream media's... How Harvey Elliott isn't in this England team, this is wrong!! Southgate out his a rubbish manager.... Elliot should of been in England squad... England will loose to Holland, Spain, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, even Hungary and even Turkey etc Harvey Elliott from the age of 19, 20 etc he can play attacking right wing, attacking player. His been one of Liverpool top players.

Tell me in last 3 months who was the best or among the 6 or 8 in EPLwho is English? Overated? Also the position is open for another option hence why there were several options tested. Yes Elliot is a good player but that position is stacked. There is no vacancy. Its unfortunate YES but dont think he is better than the others who are ahead of him.

The English team is one of the strong and preferred European teams to win the championship, and it is considered the best of them, as it has a young stars distinguished by high individual skills in all its lines, especially the midfield and the attack. This team needs a capable coach who puts every piece in its appropriate place, and nothing else . Mr Southgate is not the right person and nothing can be expected from him. This is my humble opinion.

Southgate: 4 wins in 26 attempts against FIFA Top 10 teams in 8 years. Is that a great winning record? 15%? Basically, England will lose or draw 9 out of 10 games when they play a decent team, and it shows. Another lost generation thanks to port swilling privileged elitists at the FA.

The level of attacking talent for England is just astonishing. If they win nothing, it will be a failure. To win Euros or WC, you usually need a world class Goalkeeper. Pickford is good, but I am not sure he is world class.

Pardon me. I think Jurgen Klopp once asked why is that the english media will always look for negativity regarding the England team itself? Especially with a major tournament on the horizon . England don't need to be perfect to win a major trophy. They need believers. The players need the faith of the nation behind them. Beautiful things can happen in football. By the way, England are in a strong position right now. English media always BROADCAST weaknesses of England. Not the strengths. THAT IS USING JOURNALISM IN THE INCORRECT WAY. Those boys can bring it home. They just unquestionable support.

The friendlies have lead to avoidable injuries in an already escalated injury prone season. It's bad for sport bad cor players welfare and as for the fans as they have to watch reduced quality of games coz of missing best talent.
