Hardly Englands best craftsmen. They are engine assemblers. The best craftsmen are the toolmakers who make the moulds and tools to make the engines.

Nice video thanks - are all or most of the engine and body parts made and assembled in the UK or mainly assembled from imported components - what might the proportion be ?

I remember watching videos both here and on Top Gear on the sloppy manufacturing processes in the British motorcar industries in the 70’s. This is a far cry from that era….always thought the Brits excelled at motor cars and the 70’s was a bit of a disappointment.

Putting them together, the hard bit are done by cnc machines.

It can go on made in backwards Britain along with pegs, candles, frying pans!!! Mean while in China there’s been more MG cars made in 2 years than were ever made in Britain 😂😂😮
