Not for nothing we call those matches the derby of the low countries. On the other hand this 0-6 stinks to high heaven. What a great idea of the the UEFA to put two teams in one group that made a deal of going to the Olympics together if England became a qualifier. We Dutch have a reason to doubt this 0-6

England fan here and hoped we'd get through, but if it's a league system, then it doesn't lie. Anything can happen in a knockout tournament, but a league tells the truth. We were terrible in a lot of matches in the Nations League, so much so I wondered what had happened to us! In a league, the best team goes through, and that was The Netherlands. It was close in the end, but only England have themselves to blame for being in that position. Good luck Netherlands

Also: for the best european teams it is so hard to qualify. There are only 12 teams (worlds were 32) at the olympics and 3 of them european. With Spain, Germany, England, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark. With France already qualified these teams only fight for two tickets left.

One bad tournament (which can happen after fresh World cup loss) and everybody just started hating on the team & manager😅. I'm not english but as a england fan i can say that they gave it all...mistakes can happen, we forget that other teams are here to play and win as well. Things just don't go your way all the time🤷🏻‍♂️ Hopefully there will be great things ahead in euro's.

Hopefully in the future a match up like this isn't possible anymore unless the National Olympic Committee changes their rules. With Engeland and Scotland both being part of Team Great-Brittain it obviously creates a conflict of interest. I'm glad my country ( The Netherlands ) managed to secure victory with enough goals otherwise we would have had a lot of controversy on our hands.

Well they tried and nearly pulled it off , got closer than I thought they would so hats off to them. This team doesn't warrant the slating they get when things go wrong or have under par games , every team suffers that occasionally . I'm fully behind our ladies and enjoy watching them , some great players in there and don't forget the women's game is relatively new compared to the men's. Only thing that bugs me the same as the men's England side is the amount of bad passing , lets our sides down. I don't really care about this competition or any other , I just like watching our ladies play and when things go right delight in it even more.

As a Scot, this entire nations league campaign has been a cry out for a rebuild. The Dutch and the English are fantastic teams, but we wouldn't be losing by 4 or 6 goals to them back in 2019! Our players are ageing or out of form and our manager is unfit. If We're to keep progressing then we need a huge change up in the national team, but that's unlikely knowing the SFA

Scotland has lost a lot of good players so you can't expect everything to be rosey immediately after losing some major players be they on offense or defense or able to be both. It's also naive to think that players good & great ones will always stay that way let alone never age or never be injured or anything like that. Injure especially that results in a long recovery time like say a ACL or MCL or ligament tear can be hard to come back from just as broken bones can be even with the best care & better desire to return & most commitment to get better & return. It doesn't always happen especially as we all age & can't stop or pause that.

When she scored the 3-0 we all knew that england was gonna score their 0-6, that was a no brainer, luckily for us, belgium was slowing time without any purpose for them, so we got a 2 minute extra ahead of your final whistle.....justice! I’m so sorry for the English team (and Sarina, the best coach ever). They deserve to be at the Olympics, but rules are rules and this was a real thriller, which is good for woman’s football. Goalkeeping continues to be the massive achilles heel in the women's game. What was going on in that first goal? The Scotland keeper's reflexes were slow for the others and kept her too low for relatively palmable shots, and then to concede inside the post for the last goal. Shocking.

Yes it’s like at primary school when you see the oppositions goalkeeper is tiny so your teacher tells you to shoot from anywhere. Doesn’t matter how good they are on pitch. If you’re scoring from twenty yards they’re screwed. Totally agree. The goalkeeping is atrocious.

Their fall ? They tied for top of the group , and missed out by ' one ' GD , despite scoring more goals than the Dutch. Only Spain scored more goals than England. Their GD was + 7 , every team who had a higher GD , won their group. Even in the B Div , England would have won 2 of the 4 groups with their record. I cant figure out how any of this is a ' fall' .

Nothing against the quality of the football on show but is a clear offside that's flagged immediately really a highlight? Was a cross that floated well over everyone's head and out for a goal kick a crucial moment that had to be included? Would anyone miss not seeing an intercepted pass that allowed the defence to clear the ball and nothing more? bad luck England karma! this whas a setup score. when the Dutch womans scored the 3-0 England suddenly score the 6-0 in the 93 min. before that the 5-0 whas just enough to get the first place. that 6-0 whas very easy to save.

Highs and Lows last night, as others have said ... we messed up in the early matches and it was too much for us to rectify what had happened before!. It is a Great Pity we could not enter the Olympics as Great Britain ... oh well we move on!.

Deserved for the Netherlands, England was given an offside goal in their first game against Scotland and another one in their last game against the Netherlands.

Well I must take the blame for this one because I always lose. I had an accumulative bet on England to win, England to score first, England to have most corners, Meth Mead to score and Lauren Hemp to score. Sadly, Hemp hit the post lol. Seriously, I wonder if life is like this. We have to take our chances when we get them. ps. I thought Mary Eerps made a brilliant save near the end.

Good luck to the English girls, and after that display, hope they go through. Shame Scotland weren't able to defend or deliver at the other end, from watching the highlights it was all England.

1. They didn‘t go through since the Netherlands got the goal difference and 2. it was hardly surprising that Scotland didn’t try because if they lost high enough, England would go through, maybe qualify and since it‘s team GB at the Olympics, Scottish players would also qualify on that team…

The fact both teams would come out for Great Britain once England qualified says enough about what would happen here. No wonder they tried to get England to the top of the groupby conceding goals. It benefits both teams chances to play at the olympics 😂

You're taking a lot of credit away from England. Scotland would always sacrifice the Olympics if it resulted in denying England. The last thing they want is to see England in another semi-final. In that respect they succeeded.

@@jonkerr7667 15,320 . The SFA had first dibs on the tickets , and the English fans got seats in the corners. Why cant i get seats in the middle of the main stand, where there are spaces? The FA's dont allow rival fans to sit near each other , due to the mass violence and pitch invasions at the womens games. oh wait ............... thank you mens football ... for nothing.

What a bad edited summary of the game, the other game of the NL was so important and not even one word, only last second. The thrill of the game was knowing what was going on in the other game.

After winning 6 of their 8 games in the WWC QF group , losing only to eventual world champions Spain , they beat Austria in the first k/o, and lost a very close game to the Rep of Ireland ( the 2nd highest goal scorers in the NL ) by a single goal. They were 6-1-1 coming into the NL , and despite being the lowest ranked team in all of the A Div groups, still managed to hold Belgium to 2 draws. You do know that the NLs and England are the last two teams to win the Euros and get to the WC Final. Scotland have done really well since the start of WC qualifying. You should be proud , not whinging.

Absolutely loved it, total fix (that Scottish goalkeeper was a joke), if you won it “Team GB” would have gone to the Olympics, theoretically with Scots in there 😂😂😂 What a total farce of a game .. with your “special rule” because you’re oh so special 🤣 And then it came back like a boomerang and hit you in the face. Hilarious 🎉
