Also! Has anyone ever considered that the song is called "Our Drunken Dreams" because their true desires are uncovered while they're intoxicated? Which is why Wei _doesn't_ get drunk, because he's always his true self. Not to mention when Lan Wangji gets drunk he tries to make up the time he lost with Wei Wuxian and even spoil him. I love them sm😭

But is he tho? I mean is Wei Wuxian always his true self? The lyrics say his smile and mischievous demeanour are a façade and we know how much he's hurt and he never let himself properly grieve. (I've just started reading the novel; I've only seen the anime and read the manhua... So, pls, no major spoilers, thank you haha)

@@friedlemon5172 lol true, but then again as a child he would've been upset for a while, but grown to overcome his old lifestyle and such as a result of time. As for later trauma...His personality did falter a lot, especially after Jiang Cheng's parents were killed. He did grieve, but his immediate mental state shifted to survival because that's just how he is. Even after being infected with dark magic, he still stayed true to his ideals (standing up for those in need, etc.) So I don't think he wears a mask, I just think he tends not to linger on the tragic, or bitter details.

@@christinetirimon4232 ah, what she means is "xianyun" is the wangxian song in the donghua, and "wangxian" is the wangxian song in the audio drama :) they're both entirely different songs but basically have the same role in the plot, just like how "Wuji" is the song in untamed. 🐰🐰

As I was listening to this beautiful song, I realized something that made me understand Wei wuxian better and why he did the things he's done. This man lost his family not once but three times in his life. The first being losing his parents when he was still a child. The second one when everybody in the yunmeng clan/sect died, the place where he grew up (basically his adopted family). The only left of them(Jiang chen) turns to hate him and also not to forget the fact that Wwx probably held himself accountable for that. And the third family is the one he brings together under his own protection, the wen clan, but ultimately gets erased by the other sects. So... now Imma go and cry✌️

@Χρυσή Πετρίδου uhh I hated him too, no thats not true, I just didn't like the way he acted, besides that I understood(tbh I just thought that I undestand him X'D) why he is like that. I just didn't like him, but when I finished the novel I went from "oh my god he is so rude, I know his life is all messed up but he don't have to be like that bc of this, poor jin ling you have such a bad uncle. To oh my god my baby, I want to protect him, I want to hug him, he deserve a better life, jiang cheng is the best uncle for you, jin ling. Soo yes, sometimes what he is thinking and what he is doing is different so until you don't know him well, you can misunderstood him and cuz of this he seems annoying sometimes too I don't say that this is why he get that much hate but thats what I think. He is too complex omg

I listened to the full version in the description, and wow. I have been listening to your covers for awhile now and I am so impressed. The part where you sing "and the truth has sparkened-" idk what that does to me, but I feel so touched. This song already has such power over my emotions, and your voice fits beautifully with it! No words can describe the feelings I feel when this plays. I really hope you know how talented and skilled you are, and especially with emotions when you sing! Keep up the good work!
