Holy shit. I am fucking crying listening to this again. Absolute banger and the lyrics are hitting home with my life at the moment (from the perspective of my daughter's mom. These lyrics are what she did for me despite all the pain we put each other through). I think this game had a tag line. Men cry not for themselves but for thier comrades. I won't forget Thank you. Oh my goodness… I’ve had a rough few months what with bullying and another thing I’d rather not talk about, and I just want to forget it all. This song is like a remedy for all of that, to forget it. I didn’t think so much emotion could fit perfectly into each word while staying so true to the lyrics’ original meaning. I want to forget about all of the pain and horrific things that have happened to me and listening to this almost feels as if I can, just for a little while… it’s really reassuring, it’s like getting a warm hug from someone you’ve known for forever. I love this beyond words I can describe, I’m now going to sit down with my acoustic guitar and sing these lyrics to myself and hope to feel a little better, even I already do now. everything is wonderful

How did you translate the lyrics? Just wondering because everyone's version has different lyrics. Also, this is the beset English version of this song that I've heard. Great job!

Hey there, I'm glad you liked my video! So I don't "translate" the lyrics. I base my lyrics on existing translations that other people have made. An English translation of a Japanese phrase will usually make it have less syllables, so you can't use them to sing the song. So I get creative and change it around a bit to make it match the music :)

I like the rendition, so hear me say that. However, there is one glaring issue. In the verses you are flat. Such as "When I look into your eyes". The way eyes sound is a bit off-putting. Sing with more emotion and meaning and that flatness might go away. Think of the emotion Ayaka is singing with. You can feel that emotion. Similarly you can feel the lack of emotion when people sing as well.

Hi there, this is a common misconception. The video you've shown has a "translation" of the lyrics. What I've made are "translyrics". Translations are literal and usually don't match the tune of the song, so they sound awkward when you sing them. That's why people write translyrics- they are crafted like actual song lyrics, which rhyme and sound more poetic. This song doesn't have official English translyrics, so creators like me write our own so we can sing the songs in English.
