Looks like I'll be spending another Valentine's alone.
Carrying on from last year, this cover's meant to take a different spin on today's happy vibes. Love should be celebrated in all its different forms, and unrequital is but one.
Sorry if the performance on this one isn't the greatest from a technical standpoint. When I recorded this, the emotions were still pretty raw...
It still kinda hurts to be honest.
Breakups are hard, but the fallout is harder. Especially when you realize that you have the same friends and see them everywhere you look.
This song, this last song is for her. I hope she's listening.

"Watashi e" or "To Myself" was a letter from a young woman to her past self reminiscing her unrequited love... and this song is her story. Both are played to the same tune.
I uploaded To Myself the day we started dating.

Dear lord, it actually physically hurts to hear the pain in your voice. For what it's worth, I'm sure she is listening, and I hope you'll remember that your friends and the rest of the community will always support you! It's hard to be alone, but you'd be surprised at how many people genuinely care and want you both to be happy, no matter where you end up.

You can really hear the pain in your voice. Just remember, Time heals all wounds. Scars fade. Memories dissipate. I was once in the same boat, keeping my feelings inside until it ate me up inside. That paired with my destructive thoughts was not a good match. But I've grown past it. I still remain good friends with this person who caused these feelings. Loneliness won't be the death of you. It's all in your head. As soon as you can overcome these things, you can start to see clearly. I can't say it gets better because I haven't experienced it first-hand, but I know it only consumes you if you let it. No matter what your thoughts are, even if they're not romantic frustration, it only consumes you if you let it.

Recently got into watching your anime covers (and some of your original ones.) Your content and quality of these covers has improved every video you released. I won't be saying goodbye to your channel, rather keep up the great work and stay strong Akane. Music will always be there for you. So during the toughest times, just keep smiling man. Life keeps on moving, and so should you. Shit happens to everyone. Everything happens for a reason. Good things will come later in the future man. Right now, you just need time itself to slowly pick yourself back up. It may takes days, weeks, months, or even years. Akane I know you won't see this because I may be too late and you don't know who I am but just know a year ago I was in your exact position.. someone I had spent two years with left me and it absolutely broke me it still hurts me today even thought it's been a year I can't promise it'll stop hurting but it will get better with time and with the girl you'll soon meet later on the one you'll spend your whole life with, my heart goes out to you right now and I truly hate seeing you leave it literally breaks my heart because as stupid as it sounds I learned to genuinely care about you through your channel and your voice and everything else along the way whether this is a goodbye to her or goodbye to us just know that we all love you and wish the the very best, I and the thousand of us watching love you and as much as you wanna give up of the idea of love please don't I made that mistake and don't want you doing that as well... well to sum this up I wish you the best and please know the pain will ease and one day it'll all be okay because you'll have you're permanent love by your side breaking up is torture especially when you are in love.. Kiminoshiranai monogatari is not sengouhara's story because it is hanekawa's as she was the one who wasn't able to confess to araragi and he does not know this story! Realise this and then you will see this song in a different way!
