@@TheNoobyMinecrafter1 Yeah they're banging too. Irish potatoes have a better flavor (I've tried British, but Irish potatoes are quite fluffy). The method is to add some garlic and some oil and boom you have some flavorful potatoes.

@@glenbe4026 That's so true. People who've never experienced a Canadian have the media's assumption, but like Canadians in the public eye are as polite and kind as UK celebrities, so it's silly. I'm from the PNW where the culture melds with West Canada, and aside from both loving nature and flannels, there's the same shitty bravado, bar fights, and country/hick racism and back country people with shotguns....but both generally pretty nice. Not all over, though. It's a silly generalization.

Nobody should even be associating any Canadian with any stereotypes like such. It literally depends on the person. @ petrixhore said how people from Alberta, Ontario and Quebec can say rude things but damn, I’ve been to Quebec and LIVE in Ontario, and most people are nice. It literally depends on how you’re brought up, don’t associate people with stereotypes.

My husband does amazing roast potatoes, he boils them until they go a bit soft, then gives them a shake in the pan so the edges look a bit fluffy. Then he heats some duck or goose fat in the oven on a high heat for about five minutes until it melts, then puts the potatoes in it and makes sure the potatoes have a good covering of fat. Then he seasons them with salt, pepper and any herbs or spices (these change depending on what roast we’re doing). And then cooks them for an hour. Omg they’re so good! So crispy and lots of flavour!

Aww, these women are so nice. I also love how Patty is always so excited to try her competitor’s food. She seems so delighted just to be trying other people’s take on classic dishes. I’m not a fan of roasted potatoes, but I will say I did love the look of the crust on Anne’s batch.

I like a gravy with a kick. You get it naturally if you have put chili on your meat and using the mat juices for gravy, so yeah it is a valid critique.

Mr0011011 That’s completely personal preference though. Traditional gravy doesn’t have a lot of spice, so it’s not really solid criticism.
