Following of the the success of Mattel's Masters of the Universe toyline, Remco decided to get in on the action with a sword and sorcery action figure line of their own, teaming with DC Comics to to produce figures based on the popular comic book Warlord.

I had the black guy action the one with the shiny poncho, now I remmember it was named Machiste.

And he striked again. Great video. Machiste actually is pretty famous and even got a couple of italian german co producted movies...trash...of course...but so nice to see today. Thanks Bill

Great little change up from streaming Bill. I have every one of those figures complete stored away. I acquired them from buying lots of motu vintage over the years. I don’t remember them as a kid but love the backstory you provided. Great little educational adventure!

I remember the comic ads but never actually saw the figures... Probably because there wasn't a nearby K-Mart. I always wanted them though and I recently made an Origins custom version of the Warlord figure.

I have a vague memory of having a Warlord figure, just him. Now have a bug to buy one on ebay and refurbish him, though I have to focus my funds on Origins.

Nice! I just found out these existed a couple of weeks ago. I hope Mattel folds this into MOTU like they have Rulers of the Sun!

It would be nice but highly improbable. However contact @Lee Customs and get one of his Warlord heads and make your own Warlord action figure like I did! 😀
