The Fat Controller's latest publicity stunt brings 4 visiting engines and a whole mess of trouble to Island
This is my second episode based on a dare. (The first was Mavis and the Tornado. I can now admit I put a tornado in a Thomas story to impress a girl.) A friend I helped make projects with in college found a bigjigs "Asbestos" and told me it had to have a story, especially because we were advised to evacuate a navy ship in Buffalo because of possible asbestos poisoning. The rest was history, and I don't think Andrew ever suspected I would go through with something this silly. And believe me, it gets silly.
I started this last year and there was a sudden re-surgence in this project.

This episode sticks out in my mind for several reasons. The humor was spot on, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to pass out." is one of the best lines ever, along with Walter Sliggs, who is pure gold, and the post-credit scenes were especially intriguing. Proteus masquerading around like Blue Peter was very intriguing, and I love the Arthur and Bradford scene, hopefully we'll see those two together again at some point! All in all, fantastic episode Matt! This was very silly, I admit, but that's what made it all the more enjoyable, and this has to be one of my personal favorite episodes from your series!

That's one of the reasons but the streamlined casing also made it difficult to perform maintenance on the class so they didn't install it on the later members

18:03 RIP Headphone users. Now that the whole episode is complete, I can give my full thoughts on it. I don't think this episode has all that much character development and is just for fun with not much likely being carried over later on in the series. Percy and Asbestos don't necessarily end up in a different spot than they were when the episode started. The episode does make up for that though by slowly building Richard's character, which was very good. Not to mention some really great humor from Sliggs and the troublesome trucks. Plus, the moments with Percy, Thomas and Toby were excellent, as was the Arthur scene at the end. All in all, good episode again, Matt, though I can see why your interest waned a little when making it over the course of the year.
