Contrary to popular belief, the customer is NOT always right. Businesses that follow this business model will soon find themselves taken advantage of.

for story 4 I really don't see the problem, when you break up with someone it doesn't always mean it ended badly and you can still cherish some good memories you got with them. you can have moved on from that relationship but still being friend with an ex. I can see why it can bother her, but its absolutely not a redflag, and doesn't mean he hold on to past relationship.

Story 4: The only reason it seems weird to keep these keepsakes is that they are being attached to former relationships. Yes, some relationships do not end amicably, however, this does not mean there was no good in it. It just means that the relationship was not sustainable. It is entirely reasonable to keep keepsakes from a former relationship and think, "huh that trip to Washington DC was cool" or ,"oh right I got this picture while I was doing that at the time." Thoughts like this are healthy. They show the individual has a healthy ability to move on from the person attached to the memories but also recognize that the memory also has it's positives. It should not be a red flag unless the person is going, "oh right I was in DC with that annoying one" or ,"yeah she tried drawing this piece of junk lol." These are unhealthy processes and this would be what I consider a red flag regarding keepsakes. OP needs to view the items as memory tokens and not tokens of relationships. This shift in paradigm will help her out. If she cannot do so well then, to me, that is a red flag. Why? Because to me that means she sees things as black and white, as well as, having terrible empathetic skills. Overall, the keepsakes are normal. As long as OP's BF seems to be a functional male and not holding onto these and having negative reactions or thoughts when seeing them then it is fine.

Story number 4 be like: “We’re getting a divorce so get rid of all of the gifts and memories we made together!” “Sure, let me give away the kids!” (This is a joke but it sounds a little ridiculous. And i know its not the same to objects but sometimes you like the memories although those people have moved on with their life. “Move on like an adult” also people deal with relationships and the grief the end of one in different ways. Also it could be the case they forgot it was there.)

Hello! Once a karen on the backseat of an airplane (8-hour flight) threw a tantrum because I lowered my chair for comfort (mainly because the person in front of me lowered his seat. The karen on the backseat threw a big tantrum but i didnt hear it since i was wearing headphones. She spammed the button to call *airplane micromanager or whatever you call them* and she said that we could indeed lower our chairs. She continued to spam the call button and complain, but the airplane micro-manager said that if she continued, she would have to talk in private with her. She stayed shut for the 8 hours of the flight, and when we got out, people of my language asked if we we’re okay (*we didnt care about her*) and we said yes. Moral: don’t let the airplane micromanager moan.

This is actually a thing I do at the very beginning of any new relationship - I take that person to a restaurant to see how he/she treats the staff. If I see ANY sign of superiority/entitlement or bad treatment - I point it out at the end of the meeting and I ghost out. The slightest sign of feeling superior over others is a red flag, that eventually will translate into other facets of life.

I was a serious introvert growing up- until I started going out. No need for anxiety when you're being addressed by someone who is literally there to serve you. Obviously I never pushed it. That's how you get pubes in your food. But I'm curious if THAT comes off as a red flag to you. Because it's completely benign. But yes, being douchey or entitled with your server is total bullshit. Fuck people that do that.

Story4: well, I'm still keeping the gifts and letters of my ex-girlfriend. She was part of my life, had memories with her. Moved on, yes. But since she was an important part of my life, I keep the letters and the custom keychain and matched bracelet she gifted to me back then. Some people would throw everything away. Some doesn't. It's not necesserly a Red flag. I have them, never actually thinks of them but they are part of my life and I store them, as memories.

10:01 its not weird! He seems like a nice guy, and if thats the case he probably had good break ups, an understanding from both sides. And sure the relationship is over. But the memories and the experiences you took away from that relationship should be cherished.

Story 4 really reminds me of my ex, when we were together and met in person for the first time (we dated online for 4 in a half year) we gave each other gifts, when he left me to be with an underage girl he still keeps my gifts and my pictures even after I told him to delete my pictures because it made me uncomfortable for him to still have them while being with someone else, he always said he won't, as for me I got rid of most of his gifts and pictures because I'm cuz I don't want his pictures because I'm in a new relationship, there's more drama to this but that's the only thing that reminds me of him

First story is relatable for a different reason for me. My brother tells me that I'm "always gonna be at the bottom of the social totem pole" because of my mental disability. Thing is, worked as a server at a cafe for almost 8 years total, lived on my own for almost three years before having to move in with my dad so I could go to college. All while being quote: the lowest part of the social totem pole because I'm on the autism spectrum.

about the last story, ill be honest the parents are irresponsible for allowing a 16 yo access to a full 6 grand. if i were the parents id either take the 6k, and give him another 6k to get a car, or id put 5k into a savings account and give him 100-200 every month to do whatever he wanted with.

It truly depends on the parenting lessons throughout their childhood. Realize that the whole "teenager" mentality is relatively new as before, one you hit puberty, you were either getting married or working with your family business. So if you start teaching your kids at a young age how to save, balance a checkbook, and neglecting their impulses, then there is no reason why a 16 year old couldn't have thousands of dollars. As for the actual story, unless some unknown circumstances prevented it, I would have just waited and gave it to him as a graduation present.

Good luck with that one. I can guarantee you that if I'd EARNED that money, at that age? You'd have to pry it outta my goddamn hands. Because first of all, I could have started a collection, like everybody else had. I could have decorated my room, got clothes that weren't a relatives garbage, and started a bank account before my inheritance was released to me. Then again, I was also one of those rare kids that understood consequences, and was always thinking about the future.
@raywhittaker4813
@raywhittaker4813 2 жыл бұрын
@@magne7771 yeah but this kid OBVIOUSLY wasn’t responsible enough to have access to that much money. In all honesty it really depends on the kid but I know damn well when I was that age my parents would have to do what I said in the original comment because I was not responsible with my money and I honestly wasn’t until I met my fiancé and knew I’d need money for our future together
@magne7771
@magne7771 2 жыл бұрын
@@raywhittaker4813 Yeah fair enough- but I mean, I wouldn't have come off any more responsible back then either. Hell, the way I dressed, people would'a thought I'd use that shit to wreak _hot vengeance_ down on somebody, or some shit, rather than buying knickknacks and starting a savings account. Which is kind of reason enough for me not to judge.

With what you said about the skate park in story 3, believe it or not that has actually happened. Yes, I watched a video where a Karen goes into the skate park and tries to not only stop them from skateboarding but also STEAL their skateboards. The kids had the common sense to record, take back their skateboard and ride off all while the Karen is chasing them.

Story 4 sounds like a neurotypical girlfriend feeling entitled to her boyfriend's treatment to his personal feelings. Even if he was NT as well, he compartmentalizes relationships differently than the average guy, but that sort of thing isn't odd in the slightest to someone who is Neurodivergent. Don't call someone weird when you enter their personal space and judge their behavior, judge yourself for where you come from with your own behavior.

About servers: I've worked as a waitress, a cocktail waitress, etc. I don't care if I walk up to a counter window I tip. I'm fairly fussy. I like drinks made in a specific way. So I'm really polite when I ask and I make sure I tip nicely. And I'm retired now. That means I'm always broke. However these are working people. And I don't want to hear a word about great a person is if that person cannot see that they are no better than the waitstaff working so hard for them.

I didnt get that part) 5) kicked them OUT! With or without kids, this is your and your brother house, NOT THEIR!. Looks like your sister and husband believe they own the house and you and your brother can pay for all while they dont. Maybe kicked them out is to drastic. #4 absolutely nothing weird about it, wtf? You keep things people give you, even if they're not in your life anymore, for whatever reason.

Can someone olease explain to me, what "entitled" means in this context? I am not a native speaker and my translater says that it is meaning something like "justified" what doesn't fells right for me.
@Baor_8

me translate says it is legitimate and the title part in the would has most likely has something in it's origen withe nobility. So most likely it mean that they have a "title" and are so of a higher class. I come to that conclusion has so far all of them thought they were better then the rest and had rights over everything and everybody.

Maybe I'm missing something but the step mom doesn't sound crazy to me. Seems like op's just not unsed to discipline. Maybe that's why his brother was throwing things over a gaming system? Locking the dog in the room was the worst thing. Other than that...

@@macsedits643 I guess she didn't see it as a joke. I wouldn't call her response abusive or anything. I do feel bad that it triggered a trauma response but it doesn't seem like it was purposeful. Op didn't even know himself until his father clarified. I'm getting the impression that he's in a family that didn't discipline much and he wants her gone because he doesn't like it
