Third bully story: Here is my resolution what she needs to do is continue her career. If she is getting fame as she claims, she needs to say the truth first. The first chance she gets an interview live she should share her story as an encouraging one. Where she explains the whole story and how she felt saying those things could slightly deter the bullies at the time. I mean everything there was what she was bullied about. Once that happens even if the bully tries it won't work because she has cleared her name to the public. So OP should try this to prevent that from even being blackmail and they need a good support system.

For the bully story, OP is overthinking this. I know that bullying can affect us for many years, but it's not like her former bullies recently contacted them or threatened to blackmail them. OP is giving themselves a lot of mental stress over nothing.
@rollanddev

Hear hear. It happened 10 years ago and OP had no contact with this person since. Therapy. This is what it's for. This bully most likely doesn't *even remember* any of this anymore but lives rent-free in OP's head. Even many years after the fact. OP clearly never got this out of their system and at this point the "repercussions" are 100% in their mind. Two *young teenagers* bitching one-another out on MSN/Skype/ICQ/whatever they were using at the time is not going to raise anyone's eyebrows. We've all done this tons when we were young and stupid and nobody's getting cancelled over it now that they're adults. If that were the case, virtually anyone who gamed as a teen would be unemployable today. :P

I… kinda get it. I think if you haven’t been through bullying like this it’s impossible to understand how it affects you long-term. I’m gonna share something personal and graphic and really gross, involving homophobia and suicide, so please use discretion before you read on. I was outed as gay when I was a kid, and this was back when that was considered wrong in the eyes of pretty much everybody. A lot of things were done to me that have never left me, and I think about them all the time. Me and another guy got caught kissing the tube slide of all things, and a bunch of kids pretty much ambushed us the next day, surrounding us and throwing rocks at us, just like in the OP’s story. I cannot emphasize how much that hurts. Regardless of the size of the rock or how hard you throw it, it’s still a rock, and it’s gonna bruise every time. That guy I got caught with killed himself less than two years later. But the rock ambush wasn’t actually the incident that stuck with me. I won’t get too graphic but it’s gross no matter how plainly I describe it, so head’s up. Some guys in the year ahead of me caught me on the playground and forced me to eat dog shit. Even now, all these years later, looking at my own shit in a toilet makes me uneasy, and seeing dogs out on walks shitting makes me nauseous. I actually really want to adopt a kid one day, but I don’t know if I am capable of changing a diaper. Like, I’m a grown ass man and I’m reconsidering adopting a baby because of something that was done to me in elementary school. (I know I can adopt an older kid, and I’m still considering my options.) So, the things that those kids did to me affects me literally every day of my life, and it seems completely unfathomable that they don’t think about me anymore. They led my friend to suicide and left me with lifelong trauma. Are they seriously just living their simple little lives? How can you have the malice to do those things and go on to be a normal, well-adjusted person? It’s almost impossible to believe someone like that can change. At least it would be for most people. One of the people who used to bully me (who wasn’t actually involved in either of the above instances) sought me out when we were both 18 and gave me a heartfelt apology. That person didn’t forget me. He remembered what he’d done, and he regretted it. So much that years afterwards he was still thinking about it and felt like he needed to say sorry. It’s weird, because his apology proved to me that those kids were actually people with a conscience, not evil stereotypes built in a computer to introduce conflict. And they had the capacity to feel bad about their actions. At the same time, I can’t help but think about all the other people who never apologized. Maybe they were too proud or embarrassed or ashamed. Or maybe the majority of bullies really are just totally evil and sit in their homes dreaming of the good old days, wishing they knew where I was so they could give me just one more swirly. (That only actually happened once, still would not recommend.) So I get thinking that your bullies are still after you and that they would jump at the chance to pick up where they left off. Sometimes it’s hard to believe anything else.

My white uncle threw out a group of racist Uber passengers and left them on the side of the road. Just call him Paxton for now, now He has been working as a driver for about a year now and recently He came across some entitled passengers, a racist Karen and her friends. Once they got in, they said “oh finally we found a normal driver” Paxton just simply shrugged it off and started their ride. But these passengers became more and more disrespectful as the ride went on, asking Paxton if he hated unnormal people. He asked if they meant black and Asian people. They gave him a yes without a doubt, Paxton just pulls over and asks them if they saw him as normal due to him being white and they said yes. So there Paxton gets out of the car and dumps their luggage and they come out screaming at him, “what do you think you’re doing?! Do you know who we are?!” Paxton tells them, “yeah a trio of white supremacists, I don’t tolerate racist passengers so your ride is canceled, so you can find another driver to take your white supremacy punk a**es to your destination” and with that he drives off and a small group of people praised him for putting them in their place. She gave me her maiden name when I was born. And when she married my stepdad around 3/4 years old, I chose to have my last name hyphenated with my mom’s maiden name and my step dad’s last name. When I meant my biological father at the age of 16, he later commented how if it wasn’t for the fact I was a girl and would have my last name changed when I got married, he would have made a bigger fuss about my last name. Man in the second story the dad is in the wrong on every account except for the question at hand. His kid is stealing from him. While I personally think he should pay for his music degree because he has the means to and it’s his child, he did not agree to it and it’s his money…. Toxic piece of garbage? Yes. 2nd Story: It always amazes me when I see parents demand to go into a certain field with complete ignorance to any field they know nothing about. At a get together I was talking to this mother who had a similar story, and she would go on about how could her son expect to make money with "Music!" as she was flipping through her phone. At the time I worked for one of the largest software developers in the country. I asked her if the apps on her phone make noise, sounds. She looked at me puzzled and said "Yes." I asked "When you're on your computer, does the software make sound and noises?" She nodded. "When you go to websites, do those sometimes have noises and sound?" She nodded again very confused. I said "Who do you think makes those?". She looked utterly confused and just said "Computer people?" I Just responded "I don't know about other places, but the software company I work for hires musicians. We have a few that I occasionally interact with. They know music and sound, because.............others don't. That's why they are hired. And they get paid very well too! Have a big offices and all the works. So I'm not telling you how to interact with your kid, but you said there's no money in knowing music, and I have to say I know a bunch of people that would differ with you on that. The Dad of the 2nd story is a narcissist who thinks he knows everything because of his success and can't see the bubble that he lives within all because it's easier than admitting that there is a lot about the world that he doesn't understand.

Music major story - I knew a ggirl in college with a similar story. She wanted to major in education and be a teacher. Her parents wanted her to major in economics. They alsoad a golden child who got everything and she got nothing until she agreed to major in economics. She got away with it until final semester. she was too good in her classes and was going to graduate with high honors. she couldn't hide it. Her parents found out. she got cut off. We as friends were able to come up with most of the money for her final semester and she only had a small loan for the rest. However, the day of graduation, she was served with papers. Her parents sued her for fraud and decetion. They intiionally made it the day of graduation. she was served the moment graduation was over. Fast forward nine months later and her parents actually WON the damn case. She had to payback everything to her parents plus damages. Overall, she had to pay back over $65,000. - The OP in that story better be prepared because I won't put it past the father to sue him for their money back.
@brokeboiiii

I agree with the actions of these parents and condemn the actions of the OP and that girl. I don’t see a stance in your comment and I won’t make assumptions but something about switching your major and lying to your parents, the people paying for your college to begin with, feels icky to me. It’s like you’re stealing their money, in a way. However, I can also empathize with the fact that the dad was being a dick and putting unnecessary pressure on the OP to fit what he wanted in his sons like playing football and being a business major. There’s nothing wrong with band. I played football, but my little brother is in his high school band and I like going to see him play.
@clarky23
@clarky23 Жыл бұрын
@@brokeboiiii this happened over 30 years ago and my views have changed a little on it. but overall I have to disagree. If her parents held her sister to the same standards as her, then yes., I can see the punishment fitting the "crime". But when parents openly favor one child ober another just because the "other" child develops different interests in life, asa parent you encourage that and not punish. I met her father several times and he NEVER had a good word to say about my friend while ALEAYS bragging on the other child. The story of this girl did have a literal fairy tale ending though. She met a great man and they got married. I wasn't until after they married that he disclosed to her that he was rich. I mean mid eight figures RICH. He never let his finances known, kept a modest apartment and cheap car so he would learn who cared for him and not his money. After the wedding, he sent the parents a check to wipe out the judgement then HE told the parents to NEVER contact them again. The prens tried to get bak into their graces, but only because of the money. It's been over 20 years since the wedding and they are happy, two grown children, still live a semimodest lifestyle and when her parents died, she sent flowers and that was it,

I feel like the Bully story OP should’ve told her parents or the school about this because dude. This isn’t bullying anymore it turned into HARASSMENT when they started following you home. I honestly would’ve confronted her at school and tell the teacher too. But since this was 10 years ago just forget about it. You were kids!? Unless you committed murder or SA or law breaking things you’re fine you were standing up to people who were harassing you to the point of tears. I would tell this story out in the public and ask her by name what did you do to make her hate you so much as kids and why did you think harassing someone was ok? Tell people that when you get the chance and continue your career. Bullies and people who harasses others thrive on silence.

So, because the father committed adultery, the mother can steal his child away and move to a different country, where he doesn’t get to see her really at all ever? This sounds like a selfish mother who never thought anything about her child only herself and how she was butt hurt over her husband cheating on her. She never once thought about the child at all. Otherwise she would’ve stayed in country that way he could at least see her on a regular basis. I’m surprised the government even allowed it.

That's messed up about the daughter and biological dad. Honestly I have fears my daughter will grow away and not talk to me. From a little toddler to the age of 9 she was always talking to me about anything and everything asking questions we could sit and talk all day, play and watch a little a TV together. We would make dinner together I taught her how to cook, introduce her to new foods that many are a comfort food for her now. I was always trying to show her or teach her something new, go out in nature to the water and watch the fish in the pond an creek. Took her to her very first time to the circus, getting involved as I possibly could without my ex wife making some accusations or flipping out. And I was also trying to get disability because of physical problems with my back, knee and feed. I ended up homeless for 10 months,and when it happened I was proactive connected on the phone with my ex and explain everything and was like I think it's best to shorten time with our daughter because I didn't have any place but I could spend time with her at the park or library for a couple hours on my Monday and hold my weekend time for the moment till I'm on my feet. Three weeks later I get a letter taking me to court with false allegations of abandonment and neglect, not feeding her, forcing her to do things she didn't like as well as being afraid of me. All of which not true exactly the opposite. And totally contrary to the relationship we had at that point. The judge said let's give dad time to get on his feet on issue of child support, but said I could see my daughter under supervision only, and my ex got her self made the supervisor and would make her self an active participant to our visits not just sit and watch, and knowing I have physical impairments and no income trying to get my disability approved would start having visits miles away from a short distance I could easily make, I'd have to force myself to walk between 5 to 12 miles or pan handle or barrow money from ppl I knew just to catch a bus that would get me a mile or two closer ever visit for only two hours time. Then after three months she decided she no longer wants to be the supervisor and gets my visits terminated until I can have a third party by DCFS do supervision at a DCFS facility. An they kept ignoring my calls to set it up from 2016 to partly in to 2017. I was ordered to return to work or go to jail,after providing all my medical records to the judge and that I'm in the middle of trying to get my disability. Judge said I've seen you sit in the pews and come up to the bench I think you can work and he didn't even really look at the medical records I was told to get him to review and he doesn't even do disability cases. After a total of ten months homeless I was able to get a job and a place but still had no luck getting visiting set up so I went to court to see if I may persue private business third party supervision an not DCFS I was told only if my ex agrees on the place too. I researched for months made calls daily and narrowed everyone every place in a 50 Mike radius to four candidate and my ex wife took her time finally agreed to one that I really liked. But I ended up missing two years of my daughters life but I was afraid my ex would take advantage of some rules and stick me with excessive bills so I had it put in that she has to pay for any visit she cancelled early and not me and that my daughter would have control on when we move from visiting at the private party location to my place. I have no idea of anything my ex may have said and filled out daughter's head with as my ex never liked the close relationship I had with our daughter, and my ex always did passive aggressive mind games in our relationship and several times apart over visits. I've gotten to see my daughter now for four years but only at the counselors office, I've asked a few time if she'd like to do some visits back and forth and integrate to at my place slowly and I've had no success, in the beginning seeing her again it was awkward and tense and if her mom was brought up and I'd have to say that i was doing what I could with what her mom had done she get defensive for her mom. But she's loosen up a lot but still not coming to the apartment. She'd get excited about an idea of doing something with just my gf and then two weeks later she would back off from it after loving the idea. And my gf is thinking my ex is poisoning my daughter against me and my GF. And I just say all I can do is be there be there for her every visit and you when you come with just be there for her, listen talk play one games, show interest in her and her life and at the same time talk to her about what she wants, talk to her about life, school friends and if she is comfortable relationship with a boy. But in the back of my mind I'm still afraid be given her her own phone with a free WiFi text/call app and very rarely hear from her and ex has rules about no electronics during times of the day, and my ex messed with and changed the number several times and now has me using discoord to communicate with my daughter outside of visits and I really don't hear anything still and I know she's a teenager I'm old and boring she's going to wanna be with her friends etc and when she gets a car and or us 18 she can come see me any day or time on her own but I'm still scared I feel like there's more I could or should be doing but then I don't want to make her uncomfortable I want her to come to me knowing I'm here.

For that 3rd story, depending on her birthday, she may not even have been 18 yet when they got together. She may very well have been 17 when they started 'dating' and turned 18 later that year. Either that family is super screwed up in the head or he did some heavy manipulation. Her family was backing him up and harassing his kid. At no point does it seem that they -questioned the age gap -question that he was married and cheating -question his racism -question his reasons for leaving his previous marriage This man had to do some heavy manipulation or found a very easy and quite frankly equally messed in the head family.
