To all of you who are complaining that this isn’t “live,” let me tell you something! For Enya to put on a full live performance would be nearly impossible, as she uses overdubbed background vocals to create her famous angelic sounding vocal effects, plus, she plays all the instruments on each song. In this performance she is singing live, and there is a backing track, in addition to the string players. This is one of the main reasons she does so few live performances. There, I said it, lol!!

At least we got a glimpse into what an Enya concert would look like. I pray that it becomes a reality one day, because this is just spectacular. I don't care even if it's lip sync, we would still come out in droves just for a chance to see her in the flesh!

It's said that Enya usually sings live, but with her own music playing in the background to support her live vocals because in her recordings, she layers up to 80 voices, which would be impossible for her to reproduce on stage. Enya should go on tour - she sounds so amazing live! I would definitely pay to see her in concert. Highly deserving award - and I love the way they surprised her with it. My favorite Irish artist and currently my favorite female artist, too. She seems such a genuinely lovely person too, which makes her all the more appealing as an artist
