The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Thanks for the post I remember him when he sang at Saint Pauls church in Erie, Pa. We were amazed at his powerful singing voice !!

Thank you for making these amazing musical performances of all genres available. I'd love to see more great operatic performances, and in 1080p HD if possible. I'm especially interested in the great tenors of the day such as Franco Corelli, Mario Del Monaco, Sergio Franchi, etc.

Love this singer, all his songs take me back to my childhood, I am now 70 and I still shed a tear listening to him.

Thank you for another great tenor performance! I'd love for you to also post "Yours Is My Heart Alone" by Enzo Stuarti, from a September 1964 episode. That is such a beautiful song!

Very passionate. A great director Orson Wells said that Enzo was an actor who could sing, not a singer who could act.

Enzo was a popular Italian singer. This was an entertaining and enjoyable rendition of a popular opera aria for the casual listener but not opera good.

I was disappointed to find out he'd been married twice, leaving his first wife and kids for someone else. Like Frank Sinatra whom I didn't like for dumping his wife and kids for Ava Gardner.

This is a Mario Lanza copy. But he has not the quality of Lanza.

I came home from work one night in the early 70's and Johnny Carson was on. Joey Bishop was the guest host. Enzo sang "Exodus" and it made the hair on my neck stand up! It was unbelievable! Another night JC was on, Joey Bishop, again was host. Enzo sang "Be My Love" If you could locate these recordings and post them. That would be incredible.

He doesn't sound AT ALL as an italian, unbelievable that he left italy when he was 15! The vowels, the accent is not at all italian... I must also say that the phrasing is very amateur, he ìs not an opera singer and you can hear it. Good material although.
