thanks for the clear explanation about enzyme assays. i've been trying to find an explanation without having to read 50 pages about all types of assays.

Just wanted to say thank you for making this video, and explaining concepts the way you do. :) I've just started my degree in biochem, kind of been struggling in my first term because my mind is a mess! The way this video is structured however just made me focus in a way I haven't been able to for a while. I think it's the fact you started out with the real-life applications of the thing being studied, which is often not done in textbooks in the very beginning making it difficult (for me at least) to engage in the theory. The notes work well, it acts as a visual aid to where I am in the theory and I appreciate how you repeat each key point a final time - it's as if you know my mind would wander off and then by the time I become aware of this and alert you finalise the point I should've been paying attention to, but you don't overdo it as though to appear patronising. Overall, a very balanced video (in terms of different methods of learning), really taught me some things on the way I best learn too. Keep doing what you're doing!

I would like to thank you for the clarification. can you help me . plz ? I want to know How do I test the lipase enzyme activity in the lab? (Laboratory experience for their immobilization lipase process
@TomasBruno-ww6tg4 жыл бұрын
Hi. This video is great! I only have one commentary about it: the enzyme activity can actually be defined in many other ways, since it can only be measured indirectly, the units and the definition of the activity scale depends on the experiment that takes place in order to obtain such value. I think it's important to reinforce this to prevent anyone to believing this is the only possibility.

Hello Everyone, please I have a question regarding the calculation of relative activity of enzyme during regular intervals of Time over a long time period ( 3 weeks for example). I am working on the immobilization of cellulase enzyme for cellulose hydrolysis and I would like to estimate thé relative activity of immobilized cellulase over 1, 2 and 3 weeks. As the activity of cellulase is defined as the amount of glucose produced per minutes, its activity over a long Time ( 1, 2 or 3 weeks) will be significantly affected by the incubation Time. Then I would like to ask how Can i calculate this rekative activity taking in consideration the reaction Time ( in minutes).
