EOMUK-BOKKEUM | Stir-fried Fish Cake, soy and spicy version (Korean Banchan or Side dish)

this is a popular Korean side dish, or also known as "barchan"
made in both soy-based and spicy version
INGREDIENTS
- pack of eomuk (500 g to 1kg) - Korean Fish Cake
- 1 whole white onion
- carrot
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- water just enough to simmer the ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 5 tablespoons soysauce
- 1 cup sliced green onion
- 2 tablespoons rice syrup (or can be replaced with sugar as well)
- sesame oil
- sesame seed
🌶 for spicy version, just add
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon soysauce

new sub here. What brand of portable stove are you using? I'd like to buy one but don't know know which one is the best. can you suggest a really good brand or brands? I appreciate the help. thank you! Edit: I'm addicted to this side dish! love it!

Hi there! I bought mine from Korea (Dr Hows), just because i really liked it white. Prior to this I was using the red stove I bought from the Korean grocery near where I live.
