Fr Meeks, thank you for your bold and beautiful witness. I discovered you a couple of years ago and over that time watched weekly. You made the path straight for this Anglican priest to convert to Catholicism. My wife and I will be confirmed at the Easter Vigil.

Two “church” stories I hope make you chuckle. One Christmas season our priest retold to us of a phone call he received at the rectory. He said the phone rang, he picked it up and the voice on the phone asked him, “Father, can you give me the times of your Midnight Masses?” … he surmised that she hadn’t been to church in awhile. Another story was when we had a priest driving over from another parish to fill in for a sick priest we had who could not say Mass a few weeks in a row. On his first drive over, being unfamiliar with the roads and where to turn he had a lady riding his bumper the last 5 minutes or so to church. He could see her in his rear view mirror, shaking her hands, screaming out the window at him. He noted she turned into the church parking lot behind him so her behavior was mentioned during his Homily. He noted what had happened, although it’s not like he pointed at her and called her out, but he did say to maybe practice patience because you never know who is who. A few of us figured out who it was as one parishioner had a face that was so red from embarrassment it was hard to miss! 🤣

We attended Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve at Sacred Heart in Bowie. I mentioned you to my older neighbor who I went with. Hopefully she will look for you here on your channel. God bless you and yours Father Meeks and May 2024 hold many new blessings!

Because Mary had no Original Sin, she did not suffer labor pains. And many saints (and it may be dogma) say that Jesus' birth was the same as light coming through a window, that He came through her womb in the same way He came through the door to greet the Apostles after His Resurrection...so there was no birth mess to deal with.
