Ugh, I'm so sorry man, I'm always super late to these! I don't check my Budget Audiophile YT channel very often, I need to do that more! I would love to see, if you had time, a video talking about sealed subs. Not necessarily a "comparison" but just talking about sealed subs and why the ULF freaks like me often prefer sealed subs/Infinite Baffle as opposed to super low-tune (like an LLT) vented subs. RE: This Video . . .I do run a lower HPF. Previously I was running NO HPF but I found that it would ruin my response in the sweeps so I run a super low HPF and that cleaned everything right up. I find that digging into the triple digits at, say, 11Hz, is a lot more fun in my theater than hitting 139dB at 30Hz. But that's just me, I'm a deep-note junkie! I can't wait to see that audyssey video of yours, I was messing around in it but couldn't really figure it out, so that will be EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. Right now I'm running with MultEQ32 turned off because, like you mentioned, it obliterated my response. Worked super hard to get a nice response just for Audyssey to ruin it. Currently I'm only using Audyssey to tune my mains.

Thanks for the informative video! Would that apply similarly for sealed subs or the slope can be less aggressive? I'm just not sure how to finds the numbers or measure it vs. a set port tuning frequency.

Wish my iNuke had an option for a highpass under 20Hz. Sure I can use shelf filters to compensate but it'd be nice to simply set it lower. 🙃

Could this method be used setting the HP filter on GSG Devastors?

Just did this last night. my cheap sub 12HGs drop off a cliff at 24hz. So I got my highpass BW 48 at 22 to where it started to affect my measurement.

Any chance of going over mini dsp tuning vs arc2 room correction tuning as it has changed so much to allow you to do more things.

I have a Yamaha avantage 1080 receiver. The sub out of the avr I hav connected to the poweramp that has no dsp. The power amp is connected to my passive sub. Can I use Yamahas internal dsp to do subsonic to save the subwoofer or I need to buy a miniDSP. If yes what are the main functions that miniDSP has that a Yamaha avr dsp doesn’t have purely subwoofer point of view

I used REW as per your video and aligned my 4 subs. Thanks a lot for your videos. After I pushed my calibration to miniDSP. I do measurements to confirm if the new calibration has been ported. It works. But then when I set Crossover settings as per this video and rerun the measurements, it changes the whole sub response curve and introduces new dips and gains across the whole response. When I revert the crossover settings, it reverts back to the calibrated response. Am I missing anything?

What would you set your cut off frequency in the case of using port plugs? My PC4000 is 17Hz standard, but with a port plugged is 15Hz. Do I still want to use 17Hz for the cutoff even if I have the port plugged?

I was under the impression you wanted to do this before ever running my sub (full marty) but in episode i believe 7 you set it toward the end after running sweeps,aligning etc. Does it matter if set before or after sweeps?

I've been following your videos and they have been really helpful specially for a noob like me. I do have some questions and would really appreciate your help. I'm trying to integrate my new sub ( SVS PB-1000 ) to my 2 existing old subs ( Paradigm PDR12 and PDR10 ) in my dedicated HT room that's 19X13X8. I know they are mismatched subs but I wanna see if I could possibly make them work together. 1) Setting a HPF with the MiniDSP specially with 3 mismatched subs that have 3 different tuning frequencies will it work? Does that mean that I will set 3 different HPF values on the MiniDSP? 2) Being a noob I have no idea what the tuning frequencies are on the SVS PB-1000/PDR12 and PDR10.

Instead of using this Minidsp, is there any cheap alternatives?
