Most parents tell me that the father spoke late as a child and so maybe it is ok if the child speaks late. It may be something that runs in their families. They wait and think things will improve.

My son now 10years, at age of 2.5 years in nursary I have observed speach dealy. At age of 5 years he started talking and communicate properly with speech. I have repeated pp1 twice. Now he is studying grade 5. Now he is doing fine as a normal kid at his age.

Unusual social development becomes apparent early in childhood. Autistic infants show less attention to social stimuli, smile and look at others less often, and respond less to their own name. Thanks for this. My husband was speech delayed as a child. Now my 3 year old son is speech delayed and shows signs of mild autism. His pretend play is nonexistent but he’s a smiley, lovable little guy. I saw so much of my son in these descriptions. No communication at 18 months. He’s in a special education preschool class now and he loves it.

I don’t think this applies to every child, there is no benchmark that every child will have 100 words vocabulary. My boy follows a lot of instructions but he can’t combine two words and he is 24 months.

and we have a lot of girls no boys in the family and I had my first son, and he is the only one not talking yet with 18m. He makes all typ of sounds and gestures. I gave a feeling a lot of boys struggle with this then girls!

My child age 3yrs not respond if someone asked have you had your meals today? No answer, she doesn't understand this is a questions and reply but she knows rhymes and ABCD to Z ,1 to 10 and many more but only problem is doesn't understand the question and reply and not formations of sentences but speak with split words, like when she hungry says -- I am hungry inlieu of-- Mom I am hungry give me some food, not formations sentences, kindly advice which types of therapy needs?

My son is 2.5 yrs now he didn't speak single word until 18 months from 20th month his vocabulary buit exceptionally that he spoke more than 100 words (not sentences) when he reached 22 months. At 2 yrs his vocab was like 300-400 words and started short sentences. Now, he speaks non-stop 🤣

Mama mara bata 3.5 years ka hai aur vo premature baby hai to as you told about milestone my child has shown some of it at that point you mentioned but he responded to me and he can listen the command which I give him and if don't want do than he replys that no but my problem is that whenever I or anyone ask him his name or say who are you he just repeat the same sentence back but not able to give answer

Speech Delay(SD) & Autism are two different things. But now days SD kids are put in Autism that is absolutely wrong. Autistic kid has no understanding of words, he is clueless. He has a hard time physically. His behaviors are worry some & repetitive. He has a problem in eating and many more. Genes play important role & boys are mostly affected by it. SD kids start speaking words by 4 or 5 yr of his age.

Etc he also repeat what I teach him he say counting from 1to 10 A to z not so proper but still less communicate not like children of his age he also push other kid's like to play alone or watch TV please suggest or guide something really tensed 😔😔

It seems like speech delay not autism as he is able to understand your speech. I would suggest to keep him away (100%) from screens like TV or mobile. TV and mobiles are also changing behaviour of kids. He will cry for few days but you need to involve him into some activities like assembling games, puzzles etc which you can purchase online. You have to sacrifice your own TV serials also if any. Also if possible consult with child development centre in Delhi. You can take video consultation of Ganga Ram hospital CDC online & consult with them without visiting hospital during COVID. I did it for my son, though he has mild autism detected in screening. That's why i can say that your son seems out of this area. No worry. He is fine & will be fine if you personally start involving with him for few months.

Check Occupational therapy and you can start that locally. The therapist can guide you on what need to be done for the child .

My son is 2years old and not talking but he understands everything I say,he goes on errands and brings what ever he want to me...for example if he wants water he will bring his cup to me then I know he wants water, if he is hungry he brings his spoon and plate to me.... Younger kids do well with therapies. They get better as you do early intervention with them by providing therapies.

Hi even my son was speech delay ..he's 4 10 months we have gone through therapies bt didn't find much difference..last year due to pandemic we went to his grandparents house that worked a lot now he's speaking well..I can't that he can speak well and fast like other children bt 70 per he knows his mother tongue ,now he is learning little English..apart from that we are suffering from behaviour issues?? Hope it should go down ..said ADHD...hope ur son should talk too...I know the pain 😭 god bless ur child

My daughter is 24 months follows everything and communicates with signs and actions. But she is not talking any words but imitates basic animal sounds when asked. She has very mild subcutaneous cleft palate, I am guessing that's the reason. Any insights on that?

Meri daughter sirf bol ni ri,baki autism ke koi b symptom ni h ..little bit naughty hai bas ..she is 2 year 8 month old ..I am worried..my paediatrician said she is perfectly fine .can u please guide me ?
