*Sigh* I always love when you upload these and then hate that they seem to end so quick, since I have been enjoying this series. Also, thank you for mentioning what Fafnir could do, as I was like, "Waaaait. I have been hoarding souls, and have about 300k...and so then, that means my attack stuff...*smiles evilly*" Which has been your favorite hollow, either so far or ultimately? Also, was kiiinda sad you took the tornado route you did, only because I guess if you took it in the opposite direction, you would hear the interaction between Fury and Watcher as Fury gets busy boasting. (I love that interaction, Fury being so full of herself).

Thanks bloodlust! Glad you are enjoying them. Favorite hollow is definitely Flame/Chains. I just like the single-hit DPS (which I think is the highest in the game) and the damage-over-time with the flame. Also it can help close gaps with ranged guys that are on the same level. I do like the scythes for stasis from the DLC though. Brings back some memories! This convo is officially the first thing I've added to the list of final cleanup things before the finale! I'll make sure to credit you as well bloodlust, I had no idea there was a conversation if you came in the other way. I always went the tornado route first.

I am looking forward to seeing you do the underwater stuff, and I also wanna see how you handle the boss for this stage; honestly, this boss, IMO, should have been made the last boss or something, because of all the bosses, this one has....god knows how many restarts I have seen with other streamers against this behemoth lol. But knowing you, there may be a special trick or two I myself can pick up on to kill this hoe.

The Maker's Forge Storm area is an..interesting one. Honestly I bet it is one of the areas that's given me the most trouble xD I feel like they designed it to be entered from the "office building" side considering how it's laid out, but I guess they wanted to give you the option to enter from both ways. The tornado section's definitely easier to traverse going down than up, though, from personal experience xD

After what bloodlust said about the convo that happens if you enter from the other side, I think you are right about it being the intended path. I had always gone the storm side, aka backwards, because I saw the tornado the first time playing as was like "oh yeah, I'm going to come back here baby!". Considering you need storm to enter either side, I'm not exactly sure why they added that tornado, and when they did not a trigger for the conversation. As I told bloodlust, I'll add it to the "cleanup" episode before the finale, but I really like my route because we cover a lot of ground in a relatively short time! That being said, if you all are like "Kuddle, this is stupid, you are the only idiot that would go through backwards" then I might adjust this episode haha.

@@Kuddlesnot Yeah, that makes a lott of sense. it definitely grabs your attention more since it isn't always clear if a jump is glideable or not, like the office building. I wouldnt go so far as saying you're stupid for doing it that way, lmao XD I figure they put the Tornado there so you can pick, *or* so you can easily get tto the Suffering/summoner combo when you inevitably die the first time xD I think it's better in the long run, but the level design definitely seems like it is meant to "end" with the Suffering/Summoner. FOr better or worse (for worse, that fight is a doosie for the first few runs. I've gotten better but I shamelessly use Havoc form there, same as you xD)

Oh yeah I fought gluttony and he is a tough fight but I manage to beat him finally, the Abraxis part is extremely hard.

@@Kuddlesnot I'm also friends with us if darksiders 4 is the same size as darksiders 2 it will have collectible side missions it will be the best darksiders that will ever be released because you know strife and bad comedy loves to tell a lot of jokes he's a joke, I just hope that darksiders 4 they leave parts with a horse because in 3 there is no need to miss it and in the future darksiders 5 is a huge game with 50 hours that we can play with the 4 knights in specific missions and hopefully in darksiders 5 the fury can use her horse one hug friend good night.

39:36 Yeah, this has gotten me *a lot*. While you very much were correct in the very first episode that you can just tap the button to swing, holding the button has helped me. I think this was the Dev's intention when the tutorial says "hold [Square] to swing". You don't have to hold it once you connect, but holding the button all but guarantees you'll grapple properly in my experience. With just tapping, The game kinda throws a fit if it decides that "no actually you are attacking now" and it's hard to recover. It seems *most* prevalent of an issue when there are 2 back to back like that, cause of whatever quirk handles the prompt-detection. #GrappleSwingRambleConcluded.

Did I ever ask you what platform you are on? I've feel like the opposite has been true to me. I was doing stuff like that a lot more when I would hold the button. Not attacking necessarily, but just falling instead of swinging. Maybe it is a platform/controller quirk on top of whatever jank is the "swing detection". #GrappleSwingRambleIsCoolManDidYouForgetItsMeTheRambler?

@@Kuddlesnot I primarily played on PC, but I've since played on PS5. However I havent played remotely enough on PS5 to really say i've tested it. I was always using a controller for both though. I'll have to go back and test it sometime to see how I get it to work.

Question! Even if you don't have the hollow equipped, do you still get the passive bonus from the weapon? I always thought it only counted when you were on that hollow.....?

Good question! I usually record/edit/post as I do them, then record/edit/post the next after. It helps the guide as well, because I can make sure I don't miss anything and feedback helps make the guides better. This Part 1&2 of backtracking was a bit different because I decided after recording to split into two episodes.

I mentioned it for the first time I believe in my comeback livestream, but it was dumb. I was starting a free xbox live gold trial and needed a throwaway name. I thought "Kuddles...NOT" like the dumb NOT jokes was hilarious. I did not have the foresight to see that Kuddle-snot was going to be the obvious interpretation. But I picked it for my youtube channel name because I was like "whatever, its kinda funny still" and now its been 12 years LOL

Huh. I do not think I received the Fafnir enhancement. Is it still possible to obtain it when I am nearly done with the story of the game? The primarily blue, bestial enemies that hurl two blades at you, and are capable of cloaking to the point where not even locking on works to keep track of them- are they meant to be a corrupted form of Angel? They look and behave a bit like the sycophants from Darksiders 2, and from this game.

Fafnir should be collectable from the convo with Usiel anytime after the Lust fight. I got it the first time before the final boss. If it doesn't for some reason, I know you can also get it in a NG+ run, so whatever bugged out to make it not work hopefully shouldn't happen twice. Thats actually a good question, im not sure off of the top of my head about those guys. Ill have to look that up tomorrow and report back. I didn't think about those guys from DS2, that's a good thought. Man, I really need to replay those earlier games soon!

Lol my girlfriend and I detest those enemies, especially when fought in the large, open spaces of the Crucible. You think you're just about to land the last hit, and they either dodge away, cloak, or hit you several times in rapid succession. But yes, something about their abilities and appearance reminded me of the sycophants. I don't know if I like the designs of the enemies from either DS 2 or this game better, which are your favorite designs Mr. Snot? Or maybe your favorite enemy design comes from DS 1. I'm inclined to say my favorite overall are from this game. I love the designs of all the Sins. I like the few angels in the games with whom you have a conversation. Either Usiel or the Archon are my favorite- I'm just glad to know anytime after the conversation with him, I can still pick up Fafnir.

@companylovesmisery1463 with it being a souls like I think the boss design is really good (art/character wise, maybe game play not as much, looking at your gluttony), I just wish the deaths were more brutal in line with ds1 and ds2, there are moments but it feels toned down from those two games, and even genesis. I still wince seeing some of the ds2 kill cinematics, man those were awesome. So some of column a and some of column b/c/d is my answer I think! Good question!

@@Kuddlesnot Thank you, I thought it was a good question as well. I like discussing characters and enemies in a game more than technical elements, since I'm not technologically inclined. I remember how much you like the finishing moves for the Stalkers in DS2, because you hated those enemies for causing some of your deaths 😁. I liked the finishing moves for the majority of foes in DS2. The cinematics for the bosses were my favorites, especially preceding Death's interrogation of Jamaerah and when you defeat the Archon. I have not played a Dark Souls game. I'm inching towards playing Dark Souls, but I have several games on Steam I already have never touched that I would like to play first.

Unless you played DS3 and were like "man, these mechanics on Default controls are awesome, but could be better." then I'd say prioritize a souls game or bloodborne or something like that. But if that didn't jump out at you, I think you might enjoy those other games you got ready to go more!

I usually prefer digital, but I wish it was real ownership and not "rental" like all of them seem to be. I get liking physical though, I think there are benefits to both!
