So this is what you make when you run out of time. I can’t wait to see what you make when you actually have the time. In all seriousness, that is so packed with flavors I love. My rice cooker is Japanese so maybe I could use the quick cooking setting. So amazing!

Can't smell... but looks awesome! Can I actually replace the shallots (small onions) with big ones?

Hi Obi, I am afraid not. The big onion will not be crispy becos it has high water content in it. Alternatively, you can replace with chopped garlic. For the smell, please try to imagine the aroma of the Chinese sausage and mushroom coming out from your rice cooker. Happy cooking!!

Yen Paredes you can omit the meat ingredient and add more dried shrimp 🦐
