Dr. Tassone, I want to say thank you. I'm 61 years old and the system treats me like an old bag that complains too much and can't handle aging. I'm belittled and shamed for saying that I don't feel well. I appreciate that you validate our symptoms and that our lives are not over after menopause.

When I first became ill in my late 20s, I could not get a doctor to listen or pay attention. I was at the doctors all the time begging for help. And I was treated like it was all in my head. How many times did they send me to a shrink to make sure it wasn't in my head? Too many to count I actually did it twice just to shut them up, but still I didn't get the right care. I finally had to go to administration. Patient liaison and report my doctor of eight years because she ignored me so much. The only way I got better was getting on the Internet joining health groups to empower myself Doctors haven't done anything for me except for a prescription if needed or do a hernia surgery that I had from lifting heavy objects from my job

I had to have some cervical and uterine polyps removed several years ago. I told the OBGYN 4 times at 4 different appointments I didn’t want the IUD put in she was pushing. I even recorded me telling her no IUD. I prefer the oral progesterone. She still put in the surgical authorization that she was going to put in the IUD. I had a fit. She said she put it in in case I changed my mind and that it was to hard to add it later. I had a fit and got another provider to do the work. She blamed me for not giving her the benefit of the doubt. But, she violated my Boundaries. Finally, after almost 5 years I am going to get my OBGYN exam. She really traumatized me.

That’s medical malpractice and that Dr should lose their license. That’s a lawsuit. That is also illegal for the Dr to do that to you, to force anything against your will. I recommend you take action by at least reporting them to their state medical board.

Kaiser won’t let your husband come in because they do a domestic violence assessment. Maybe after the have you alone for awhile. It’s creepy. Really bad practice. They have an assistant ask not a mental health provider. I have no idea what they do if you say yes. If they call the police, and your a victim you may end up at higher risk.
