Жыл бұрын#JeepXJ today we star to work on the engine for my daughter's 2000 Jeep Cherokee. With that new patin in the engine bay I wanted this engine to star out clean! We found some problems with the seals along the way and A MISSING BOLT!
The project continues!
This is the 27th episode of the ongoing project to rebuilt a Jeep Cherokee XJ for my 16 year old daughter. its Been a rough month, but we're back and hope to make loads of progress over the next few weeks.

Great video as always guys. And I would recommend doing the oil pan gasket and the rear main while it’s out it makes life so much easier then inside the Jeep.

Now is the best time to change the oul pan gasket and rear main seal. I would also put a new oil pump while you are at it. This is the absolutely best time to do it.

News to me about that missing transmission bolt... I unfortunately do not have it. Crazy to see the alternator corrode and split like that too!

Yeah, once I started going over the engine closely there were some things that looked like they had been touched. Like a long time ago. The issues with the heads and over heating in the 2000-2001 engines started early. So this could have been been warranty work and the paint marks could be from a factory/dealer rebuild shop of some kind. Almost No way to know.
