Күн бұрынI hope you like abbreviations since weaving has a lot of them! Case in point, today I'll be talking about EPI vs PPI.
These two abbreviations are probably the most popular in the weaving vocabulary because we discuss them with each project we do. EPI = ends per inch, referring to the spacing the warp yarns. PPI = picks per inch, referring to the spacing of the weft yarns.
Both of these components in a weaving project have distinctive benefits and challenges. In today's episode, I'll be walking you through what they look like. Enjoy!

I really wish I had seen this when I started out weaving a year ago. Very clear and helpful. I love weaving but it is quite a solitary pastime and I don't know another soul who even owns a loom so your channel has been a huge help.

Yes, same. Then I found a fiber arts group in my nearest city (hour away). Not quite as solitary as it was.

I,ve made myself a paper tool to keep myself on track when weaving twill. I’ll post a pic in the facebook group. My mantra is to include negative space.
