so i'm confused- is Epic a musical, where do i watch it? Or is it a series of albums- if so, in what order do I listen to them? I just found your music this morning, and I am now thoroughly enthralled and can't wait for more. I know about all of Warrior of the Mind by heart, and I almost cried when i heard My Goodbye the first time (and second, 😅😅). I know you've been working on your musical for over two years, and I think it's so cool. I'm writing a book, so I know how hard writing can be. I play a couple instruments and make a little music for fun, so I can begin to understand what a struggle it must've been. I just want you to know that I admire you, what you're doing.

Something subtle that I ADORE about this video is that toward the end as she’s talking about how they’re stuck together under her spell, he starts grooving *just a little* and you can see the music taking him over. Then right after that, he starts singing her melody, whereas up to that point, he kept interrupting the flow with something different. It’s genius.

@@toriacrouse2449 For what I know boths cases were SA. Right? Circe made him sleep with her to free his mem (he didn't want to) and Calypso also forces Herself on Oddysues. So I won't call that cheating in the slightest. His Heart was always with Penelope. Unless I'm mistaken. I know he had Kids with Circe and later sents him back to the underworld, but wasn't it from that one time? But even so, he never stopped thinking of Penelope so even if He did Stuff with his Body, his Heart was always with her.

As other people have mentioned, Odysseus was a faithful husband by all standards; he wasn't sleeping around with servants or captives he took in the war, or any other mortal women, but these immortal women don't give him the same choice. The gods, and goddesses, don't have much understanding for 'consent'.

There are three in progress right now: Epic: The Musical, Aristos: the Musical, and Unwound: Beyond the Labyrinth Epic being the Odyssey obvious, Aristos is about Achilles and Patroclus and Unwound is about the myth of the Labryinth, Ariadne and Dionysus, etc. I love this trend of lets start making greek mythology musicals using social media! Also, there is Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical coming soon (I think) if you like greek myth, musicals and video games. Edit: Oh, yes, and The Minotaur: a musical has one song out. It's very Hadestown, it has an environmental theme and seems like it's more about Queen Pasiphae and Ariadne (or at least I'd think so from the one song out, but I'm probably wrong). It apparently also has Daedalus and Icarus, so that's cool.

I'm so glad this is on youtube. I couldn't find it under my favorites. I love this song so much. I can just imagine her sitting on top of a mountain-scape and walking down while singing the song with a tropical background and dancers in flowy, sheer dresses doing latin/Caribbean style dance, freezing when he talks back, bowing down, continuing their seductive dance, and surrounding them at the end

I think, to some degree, Calypso is lying to herself, trying to convince she is happy in her island prison, and that she or anyone else doesn't need anything other than Ogygia, certainly not freedom.

Dang, Odysseus is just learning to fear for his life every time he meets a god. He had Athena for a toxic mentor, Poseidon killed most of his fleet over a self-defense wound, Circe tried to force herself onto him, Zeus showed up on Helios's behalf and played a sadistic trolley game with Ody, and now he has another goddess who's not being pacified by his fidelity, and to add to it all he's stuck with this one. There's no option to run this time, not for seven years, and he didn't know it would end at all. The amount of trauma piled up on this man by the end of his journey is devastating. Imagine every time Athena shows up, even after surviving everything, Ody winces. In The Odyssey, she shows up to give him his disguise near the end, so how exactly is that going to go? I'M SO CURIOUS!!!
