I had an epic wildcamping trip to Snowdonia which turned out to be memorable in more ways than one! I climbed teh Gribin Ridge Scramble on Glyder Fach and walked into a Mountain Rescue Helicopter extraction. I then found the perfect camping spot overlooking Tryfan with glorious views.
Part 2 coming very soon...

That was a scramble and a half Joss and you can understand how the casualty came to grief, hope he made a full recovery. We are very fortunate that the mountain rescue folks voluntarily give up their time to help others. Fantastic scenery and excellent photography. Supper looked tasty but you earned it! Regards Keith

Great video Joss. What did you think of the Gribin? Shame about your plans being scuppered but what a trade-off getting such a cracking spot looking at the mighty Tryfan there. We’re so lucky having these mountains so close to us :)
@jossthomas123456
@jossthomas123456 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks WELSHIKER, I cant complain, it was probably a better spot in the end👍 and always a good reason to go back. The Gribin is a very straightforward scramble, and quite short compared to others in the area. The best scrambling is on the ridge direct, all of it can be avoided by rough paths and gullies to the side. However it is not wise to stray too far off the crest, I think this is what the injured walker must have done and ended up on the loose screes, too far away from the crest. Thanks for watching and commenting, its much appreciated.

@jossthomas123456

Hi Jim Tilbrook, for any relatively still body of water, it must be treated one way or other. I actually steri tabbed it then boiled it too, for good measure, though probably not essential.
