Heading back to Beelu National Park in Mundaring with a plan to link up a few 4x4 tracks that I know of and think are perfect for beginner four wheel drivers. I'd have really liked to have finished this scenic drive on this trip however, I unfortunately discovered that the off road track is gated at one end. It looks like i'm going to have to go back to the drawing board and rethink this route, that said, the Perth hills is an ideal place to take your 4WD off roading near Perth. So, if your looking for something to do in Mundaring, give Beelu National Park a go and let me know how you go! Oh, and I promise to post detailed driving instructions as well as GPS waypoints in my next episode.....Promise!

Went up there again today and in from the Coppin Rd end as per your coords’! Didn’t do anything gnarly but we did go along the pipeline on the opposite side of Fred Jacoby Park and popped out on the Weir Rd before a cider at the Pub!! Had lunch at the North Ledge picnic spot! (Btw - lift kit and tyres fitted! 👌🏻)

I am now imagining squeezing through that section we looked at only to find the gate at the end!! Aaaargh! Oh well. What is at the other end I wonder - because that goes to the Helena Pipe Head Dam?

Yeah I was a little disappointed to say the least but hey at least we didn’t drive through and find out! There was a track going right so yeah definitely worth trying it to see.

WAWA's grab for the hills is just a bit silly. Sure there are some areas that need to be locked up but they have over-reached and locked up way too much land. Their blue 'YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING' signs seem to be everywhere these days.

Yeah it is unfortunate isn’t it. And the muppets who dump rubbish etc doesn’t help our course either.

@@EpicDrivesWesternAustralia The authorities can be a bit on the dumb side I think. If they allowed access to more places then more responsible people and clubs would be in there looking after things more. When they try to lock everyone out, those who don't give a stuff about the rules are the ones who go in and dump rubbish and generally ruin the place.
