The parents of these kids have done a fantastic job. These kids have grown into very decent adults with a good value system to bulid their own families. I am quite taken by how the parents take the time to help, explaiun and help the kids understand when teaching them. It is sad that more parents do not do this but then the way of having family is taught from generation to the next - started off with a good foundation and will continue with the next and the next and so on. I see these young adults as going far in life with achievements.

I like the fire hose setup, I would work on getting Firefighter jackets, and make a permanent sprinkler to camlock onto, fuel the pump and retreat! Cheers!!

Happy Father’s Day Pete - you are by all accounts a great example of Fatherhood - reflected wonderfully in Pete Jr, Carolyn and Dan! Can’t believe Vandy got you home limping, that was crazy! The fires have been concerning in part of the world - demonstrating your preparedness is reassuring. Carol - food is your loving and nourishing gift to your family - healthy, delicious and looks damn yummy! Dan, seriously could not get over the size of that raft, it’s buoyancy and how small it packs down… that’s definitely a plus for adventuring and one to pack for a trip!

In 2020, a wildfire in the high Uinta mountains of Utah burned through 90k acres. It burned through our mountain property, taking everything we had spent 30 years building. Thankfully, no lives were lost in the fire. Do everything you can to prepare for the worst.

I had a friend who asked the fire department to come and do an inspection with recommendations. They said if you have to evacuate, on your way out toss all the plastic (plastic Plant pots, plastic traps, plastic chairs,etc) on your deck as far away from house as possible - just a thought.

For the raft, the bag might be good if you are pack rafting. I recommend using a battery powered blower, like. A leaf blower. They work great.

Great video, glad Vandi was an easy fix, but you are mistaken… the fire ban is still in full effect. I was at a camp yesterday, up your way, and a bylaw enforcement officer came by to make sure I wasn’t having a fire.

Grow runner beans on cane tripods. The crop goes upwards so uses less area and you get loads of beans for very little effort.

I had an issue with my Jeep when it would vapor lock. My gage would say that I had plenty of fuel and then all of a sudden it would act like it was running out of gas, sputter and then just die out. I ended up having to have the inner put in the gas tank replaced. One of many things that I have had to replace in my Jeep. I love her, don't get me wrong. But, she has cost me a lot of money. She is an older girl, 2007. I have owned her outright for many years. I hate to give her up because she is the best vehicle I have ever owned in the snow. I live in Massachusetts and often travel to Maine to go sledding. I don't have the heart to part with her just yet.

Ensure you hold your paddle at least if not a little wider than your shoulder for more control and paddling efficiency. I paddle daily so just a kiyylr input to help you out with your new toy. A nice and very light one for sure.

When the wildfires were going on in your area, living in Massachusetts, we received a lot of smoke. Our sun was very orange, you could smell the burning of wood when you stepped outside. I had traveled to South Carolina in the middle of the fires and you could smell the burning of wood there too. It was really strange. I am glad that the fires were able to be contained. I feel so bad for the wild life.

I was very interested in your comment about tomatoes and things you were going to look into, so I thought I’d send you a photograph of a tomato called tiny toms. They grow like a tiny Christmas tree in the picture. They won’t be much larger than they are they fill-in they take up next to no space don’t fall over. The tomatoes are salad size like cherries and ripen from the bottom up. Last year two of my plants blossomed twice. I had to bring the green tomatoes in to ripen them in the windows. I thought you just might be interested do you have any questions just text me back

I had a similar issue, so I brought it to the garage, the mechanic told me to clean off the top of the fuel spout to make sure that there's a good seal at the gas cap. I did and it worked. Gas consumption improved after that. But your vehicle could have an entirely different problem like the air filter too from sandy dusty roads. Oh, I should watch the video entirely before commenting, lol! The fire ban is still on in Ontario can't wait till it gets lifted, it's cold at night.

Amazing idea for the pump! But preparation only starts there. You should clean leave off the roof and out of the gutters if you have. And make a defendable space around the cabin that’s free of brush.

So far we haven't had a problem. There are no rabbits on the island and the deer swim on and off but I guess Lando is a deterrent.

Dont remember what year Vandi is, but my 2013 had similar issues and it turned out to be a bad camshaft sensor. You would be driving along the highway and suddenly the engine would stall or shutoff.
