I have followed the Turkey women's team since the start of this year mainly to see Gunes play. Vargas is a beast. Some players will probably have all the qualities that she has. But she beats all of them in her ability to twist and move her hand direction wherever she likes. That's a very difficult trait to perfect. That makes her able to find insane angles and hit it there. I say this because I am a volleyball player.

Arda Guler dunyada gundem oldu demi? Ama bati Avrupada herseyden daha cok "yok babasi sukadar para istedi" ile mansetlere tasindi. Ama iste Türkiyedeki Gazoz Kapaklari anca soganin 25 tl oldugundan bahseder!

Yıllardır devşirmelerle oynayan takımlar bir anda Vargas tokadı yiyince Türkiye yabancı oyuncu oynatıyor diye ağlamaya başlamış. Vargas ve voleybol adına Türkiye'ye teşekkür etmeleri gerekirken kıskançlıktan ne çamur atacaklarını şaşırdılar. Türkiye olmasaydı böyle bir yeteneğin gelişme şansı belki hiç olmayacaktı ve biz hiç bir zaman bu muazzam oyuncuyu izleyemeyecektik. Melissa Vargas artık bir Türk vatandaşıdır ve bunu umarım uzun yıllar boyunca acı bir şekilde deneyimleyeceksiniz.

Vargas alt yapısı mükemmel bir oyuncu ancak Küba da kalsa kendini bu kadar geliştiremezdi malum oradaki şartlar kötü ve ona yapılan haksızlığa değinmiyorum bile. What makes her amazing is not only her athleticism but the accuracy, power, and most of all RANGE ! Which makes it very difficult to defend., especially when she switches direction at the last second. Wow,. She reminds me of the Cuban Womens Team from the 90's. It was a whole team of them like her. Idk but vargas is like bosko and egonu combined. Bosko for great angles and power and consistency, egonu for height/reach, and accuracy placing with power. She rarely gets checked nor error.

Mireya Luis was the mentor of Vargas, according to an interview Vargas did when she was 15 or 16. Apparently Mireya Luis helped to train them, Vargas lists her as her idol. You look at Vargas, you see a lot of Mireya Luis in her. The difference is that Vargas is 6'4, where as Mireya Luis was 5'9

Without belittling Vargas' performance, I would like to withdraw attention to one thing; I watched all the scenes, this is not possible without receiving the ball from the opposite serve properly and without dreamy passes of setter, saying Vargas like "hit the ball and the point is yours". Since volleyball is a team game, Vargas's teammates also have a large share in the numbers she scored.

Vargas'in göstermis oldugu performansi kücümsemeden bir seye dikkat cekmek istiyorum; Bütün sahneleri izledim, karsi servisten gelen topu düzgün bir mansetle almadan, pasörümüzün de rüya gibi paslariyla ideal bir sekilde Vargas'in önüne koyup "Vur sayi yap" demeden olmuyor bu is. Voleybol bir takim oyunu oldugu icin, Vargas'in yaptigi sayilarda takim arkadaslarinin da büyük payi var.

Pobre Vargas, todos critican a Turquía porque escogieron una gran jugadora. Melissa ama el deporte desde pequeña y parecerá un predador en la cancha, debido a su pasión, pero es una chica muy dulce fuera de la cancha. Todo el alboroto que ha causado es porque es un espectáculo verla jugar, ella suda pasión en la cancha. Ahora mismo está lesionada y lloró mucho por no poder jugar en el Fenarbaçe, nada la podía consolar. Hija de papá deportista, esa es su pasión. Ojalá la dejen en paz vivir sus sueños.

THIS IS IMORTANT NOTE; Turkish players were changed. Opposites,liberos,spikers all of them. Gizem Orge is the best libero. She weren't playing for 5 years for national team. She is back. Our opposite Meryem boz not on the national team anymore. The most important chancing spikers: Hande baladin,saliha sahin is not main spikers anymore. Ilkin aydin and derya took the spikers flag. Also ebrar were opposite but she is positioned as a spiker anymore. Our middles were already perfect there is no change for them. SO WHY IS TURKIYE IS AMMAZING ANYMORE. We did big changes for our Nationals. Take it first and then make comments.

Cuban athletes have amazing conditions to play volleyball and many other sports but politics, social and economic crisis don't allow them to develop a sports professional career, Melissa Vargas, Wilfredo Leon, Yoandri Leal could play in other teams but sadly there's many others players that didn't have the chance to show their great qualities and left volleyball

@@je-ianszalpuk8080 Yes, Taismary Aguero great and complete player, she was setter/hitter in Cuban Team and then played as hitter in Italy and Osmany Juantorena, there's a lot of players that received offers in different countries but many didn't accept it
