If we cut granite today with highly pressurized slurry flows (sand + water) why wouldn't we think a people living along a river in a desert wouldn't come across the cutting ability of pressurized water?? I mean, they have regular opportunity to observe natural erosion. They should be able to make the connection. They also have sun enough to grasp what heating water can do. :/

The diagram of the Serapeum you show has 26 alcoves. There's 26,000 yrs in a precessional cycle. Each box could represent a thousand years of history, and some that hasn't occurred yet. I don't know which end relates to the more modern end of the cycle, but the layout does show a separation between the two 13k year periods and the two boxes that aren't installed would go on either side of that divide. They may be representing the chaos that happened in the middle of the cycle by leaving those two unfinished and scattered in the hallway.

You may have seen it before, but there's a KZfaq channel SGD Sacred Geometry Decoded that has several videos about moving monoliths and what types of materials and simple machines could be used. There's a couple that specifically debunk Baalbek as 'impossible'.
