I wasn't a fan of some of the decisions Joe was making but I'm not gonna lie, I like how he Made a decision and stood on it regardless of what everyone else was thinking. It was a tough call and we won't know if it was the right choice until the season is underway.

The moment he extended Daniel Jones it was Eff you Saquon. Now he needs to go down with the ship. The team has no identity as one of the guys asked if we let go of Saquon ? The moment he said " aren't paying a QB $40M to hand the ball off to a $12M RB " the jig was up. Shoen put all his cards on Daniel Jones and if the Giants win six games or less AGAIN he should be fired along with Daniel Jones for betting on him.

Good recap kid, but like many you miss the points on DJ. The "six years" narrative is a mess. It's also truth, but so is the entirety of the 2022 season, Jones' first in Daboll's system but with a bad OL and very limited receiving options. Jones managed the 22 season really well. As teams focused more on stopping Saquon Jones picked up the slack by running himself and by passing to the trio of James, Hodgins and Slayton. From that trio - James has been replaced by WanDale, Hodgins replaced by Nabers, and Slayton is either the #3 or #4, replaced by Hyatt . Plus - just as important if not moreso - behind Bellinger there's a rookie with Bellinger+ potential and two stud blocking TEs. Most importantly! It's possible, really possible, the interior of the OL is FIXED with two solid vet guards and JMS in his 2nd year. Lots of ifs on the OL, but this could be the first year DJ's full ability as a distributor is in play. Patience grasshopper.
