Wow! I have a small orchard in Mohave County, and 150 gallons of water per tree per week in my orchard is 3x the amount I use per tree (varieties of fruit trees). My trees are only 13 years in the ground, and I live on a widow's income. I'd sure like some pistachios, though. Your video was very inspiring!

If you use mulch and drip irrigation, you could retain water and use less overall

if Americans eat more American pistachios than Iranian, it's better for the American economy so yes, Politics should "poison" public health. ;)

How come there always has to be some arrogance with regard to one's native land? The English-speaking world are the lands of The Tribe of Joseph of the Bible, who got the birthright. We, like Joseph, help the rest of the world, though the God of Abraham has given us MORE than the rest of the world. Stuff the politics and go with brotherly kindness and humility: then ask yourself why the sons of Abraham have to criticize his other children... Joseph got the birthright without stealing it. He was Israel's favorite, firstborn of Rachel, whom Israel loved. Genesis 49: 22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: 23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: 24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) 25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: 26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren. (But of course, Iran is Persia, who had their part in scraping up from Belteshazzar, all the booty from the Temple in Jerusalem, after God sent her into captivity to Nebuchadnezzar. Alexander the Great took care of Persia for Him. History helps us to understand where we stand in this modern world. Let's not grieve our Maker.)

“Bahá'í Scriptures teach that, as trustees of the planet's vast resources and biological diversity, humanity must seek to protect the "heritage [of] future generations;" see in nature a reflection of the divine; approach the earth, the source of material bounties, with humility; temper its actions with moderation; and be guided by the fundamental spiritual truth of our age, the oneness of humanity. The speed and facility with which we establish a sustainable pattern of life will depend, in the final analysis, on the extent to which we are willing to be transformed, through the love of God and obedience to His Laws, into constructive forces in the process of creating an ever-advancing civilization” (The Baha'i International Community, 1995 Apr 06, Conservation and Sustainable)

Larger trees, they say, are the males...that is needful I think so that they are already taller and larger than the female trees when they are ready to be pollinated. He said the ratio was 1 male to 5 female. That probably depends on how they are planted in the orchard.

Honestly, you people: none of you were in Eden. The first pistachio came from Almighty God, who planted it on Day 3 of Creation week. Bible doesn't say where He planted it. The earth was no desert at that time.
