Calling all Bootleg Fans!
It's like Christmas in April! Recent boots have surfaced (don't ask us where to find them!), stemming from the Geoff Emerick Estate sale which includes many Rough Mixes of BOTR material as well as later Wings material. These are on the Misterclaudel and HMC labels. We have only heard the Misterclaudel as of this recording.
We would also like to give a special shout out to Hoffman/Beatles forum member "mikecarrea" who always has the inside scoop on this stuff and has painstakingly broken down the differences between the two. His analysis can be found here: forum.beatlegdb.com/viewtopic...
We discuss the potential use of AI on some of these tracks. In favour of it or not? Have you heard any of these yet? Let us know in the comments.

Always great to see you guys and see you in person at the Hyatt Ohare in 4 months. These boots show that a deluxe BOTR box even better than the 2011 box would have been possible! My first boot was bought at my first Fest in 1990 it was the double vinyl version of McCartney II.

I love stuff like this. I was 13 when I got my first Beatles boot 1969 Get Back on Lemon Records. Ever since then I haven't stopped. I have tons of boots. Another one that was famous back then was called Kum Back. Some of my favorite boots that I've collected over the decades are the 1979 Wings shows. I've cleaned up some of them and brought the volume up. Of course it doesn't get any better than the Glasgow 79 show but the Kampuchea show I have sounds really good. I will go to my grave screaming to people that don't like press to play to listen to the alternate press to play it is so much better than the released version. I enjoyed this a lot guys. A shout out to Andy for leading me to some very interesting stuff.

Bootlegs are great and an integral and an interesting part of a musicians/band history.

these guys missed the golden age at the Fest in the late 80's to mid 90's for bootlegs and vhs stuff guys were selling. The flea market was amazing back then , now it can fit into someones closet.

@@wink853 omg it was incredible. The marketplace was gigantic. You could spend all weekend just in that room! And then ofc go up to the “3rd floor” for more “product!” 🤣

The George referred to on the tape box is probably George Peckham, a cutting engineer at EMI/Abbey Road Studios.

Thank God for the Beatle-verse Bootleggers over the years to now; because they bring to the market what the official outlets take AGES to give us a fraction of what is out there. It took Anthology like 6-7 yrs after the bootleggers to counter what was out there in better fidelity. And I'll give credit to the Lennon camp for all they have given us between the JL Anthology and the recent SDE box sets. The Beatles since 2017 have dug deeper with the SDE's to provide a trove of outtakes but the Bootleggers still are able to fill in the gaps even on those; you need both (official and unofficial) to capture it all. I wish each camp had a curator to get these sessions out officially to feed the machine to support the cause. (a la DGM Live for King Crimson and FTD for Elvis)

I miss the heady days of Napster when I went crazy downloading Beatles/solo Beatles boots. I was probably able to find 95% of all the boots documented in the “8 Arms” book. It’s probably the reason my copy of “8 Arms” split in 2.
