I had exactly the same problem, extremely annoying cracking sound at the slightest hint of any torsion or twist of the chassis. THIS WORKED!! No more noise! THANK YOU SIMON!!

This was amazing. I put up with the creaking noise for months figuring it would take a bit of work (and money). Turns out a £10 can of WD40 white lithium, fixed it right up. Excellent advice, thank you!!

Hi Simon - thanks for posting this video. Seems everyone with the issue finds your video. It didnt fix for me BUT i did find someone else who posted a second potential fix on one of the forums. It turns out that the two rubber lid rest points (one on each side) are threaded and can be raised and lowered by using a #17 spanner. Raising them allows the roof to be more tightly braced against the car and this stops creaks that are caused when the roof/lid rest points gets loosened/lowered over time. Only needed about a half turn anticlockwise (to the right) on both sides for me to fix completely. So for anyone that has tried the grease solution and still got the problem try turning the thread on the rubber lid rests. Hope that helps (was sooooo annoying before, now i can drive in peace with the roof up as well).

I’ve been getting it from where my roof meets the windscreen. Do you think this would help too? It’s more so when I hit bumps on the road. Cheers

Got the same on my newly purchased 2007 Volvo C70 .. it's pretty mint but I had the creaking sound at the top of windscreen just left of the centre passenger side.. all the rubbers with filthy I clean them with soapy water and it seems to go away... But then I put LiqiMoly Pflege on supposedly to blacken and conditioner the rubbers ..the product is pretty crap.. it basically smells of isopropyl alcohol.. and guess what the creaking was back... Any suggestions anyone ?

Nice video 👍I'm suffering from dash creak .I wedged plastic packers between the dash & A frame cover and it stopped but I don't want to drive around with packers all the time 😂. Do you know of any videos on removing the passenger side cover as I can't find any . 💁‍♂️🤷‍♂️
