62 cars attempted to qualifying for the 32 car field
Those 32 cars was the closest field of all 7 classes, until there was just 2 left, John Staats the defending champion in his class record holding supra and Shawn Ramey in the finals for the 2nd time in 3 years. Once again Shawn came up short of taking the win as John Staats runs low e/t of the class 8.11 earning back to back wins.

Super Street is the 1 class that has very few domestic entries for whatever reason.

Marcus Garvin this specific class is dominated by Hondas , other classes it's 2j and rotary vs import , those fwd can't hang in those classes

Most Street cars with v8s go twin turbo (you know cuz we have 2 banks of cylinder) , that right there takes out a lot of people because they only allow single turbo v8 on all these classes. On top of that the minimum weight for a v8 turbo car with driver to qualify is between 3500 lbs (76 mm turbo) and 3800 lbs (80mm turbo biggest allowed).. Which most v8 owners have to add a couple hundred pounds to their cars just to qualify because lets be honest , who heavily modifies their camaro or mustang and weights 3800?? Very few... In contrast the hondas minimum weight is between 2400 lbs - 2700lbs depending on their turbo. So imports get to weight 1000 lbs less + Nitrous is allowed and on top of that v8s are restricted how big CI their engine can be.... Mainly for those reasons and more lot of people dont want to change their whole combo just to get to race hondas.. Thats how 1sided these events are ...

The name of the even is world cup finals: import vs domestic, Super Street is the 1 class that is primarily imports, not sure why the domestics don't run this class more, because when they do they have success.
