Cantona is a clever man, he stopped playing football at the perfect time so he would always be remembered as a legend..to many plays just don't know when to hang up the boots and most slightly tarnish There reputation taking away that legendary status

it could also be that eric is a perfectionist, in that once he knew he couldn't play the way he wanted and live up to his high standards he didn't want to play at all.Legend all the same!!!!

I believe this was the case, when he fist thought his own ability was slipping he thought best to call it a day, even at a relatively early age. I remmeber reading that the champions league game against Borussia Dortmund in his final year really affected him to say enoughs a enough as he missed a few chances and utd went out

haha classic ending...I was there at Selhurst park that night...I had flown over to catch two matches....the Man Utd v Blackburn match that Eric scored the winner with a header near the end with Shearer in the team fighting to win the league and then in London I went to see the Palace match.....I remember it was very difficult to get to the ground.....still have my ticket

Cheers for this lads....great interview! Was super gassed to see this. U guys should really try and collab with United to get u guys access to players. Would be amazing if u can get insights into players lives in general like the Mata and Fellaini interviews. Would love to see u guys do stuff similar to unscripted where they just talk to the players but not necessarily always about football. Great content as always lads, best fan channel on youtube

since the late 70's when I first started to support United, there are only a handful of players I can think of..who when they got the ball at their feet you got that wave of excitement or expectation.. Giggs, Kanchelskis, Ronaldo, Eric. I can still remember the excitement that day I heard we had signed him.

After his interview I thought ...that Eric after he left football hasn't been too much in the sport .he had his fair share and moved on to different ventures in life... Similarly like Roberto baggio .. some players are of special class and he ws above that class :)
