I think the reason Sheldon and Amy are so different is because she was kinda "forced" into that behavior based on stories she shared about her mother and Sheldon naturally being that way so he is less likely to change than she would be

Back in the days I still used to play, GMs were actually very accomodating. Once, I got hacked and everything got sold for gold. Fortunately, I relogged before the gold was gone. Chad GM not only returned all my items in less than 24 hours, he even let me keep the gold, which wasn't much, compared to what I'd make, but it still was 2-2.5 K gold in WotLK era. Anothet time, I hastily transferred a warrior alt to another, new server, but I forgot to mail him the heirloom items (items which scale with level). Chad GM sent them over immediately, didn't have to log out, they were just in my bag, without him telling me "oh, you have to pay for another transfer and blah blah"

One thing that's fun about this show is that it was usually pretty current with its pop culture and technology/computer references. I'm realizing now that also means the show might show its age and appear dated pretty quickly. I'm not a gamer so I don't know if World of Warcraft is as popular now as it was when the episode first aired, but I could easily see a scenario where someone might watch an old episode and think "Wow, remember when THAT was popular?"

The both have insanely high standards for their partners while seeing themselves as never wrong in any situation (except when Raj is manipulatively whining about how no one loves him after he did something that would be an extreme red flag to most people).
