Welcome back!
This is the first episode of my new mod showcase series, The SPT Show!
I'll be using this series to demonstrate the many mods available for SPT-AKI through the Filebase, starting with my favorites. I'd like to create a video archive of SPT demonstrations to show the progress of Escape From Tarkov and the mods over time that we can use to reference things like features and performance.
In this pilot episode, I'll be focusing on these mods:
- Camera Unsnap
- Backdoor Bandit
- Time & Weather Changer
- Increased FOV
- Fontaine's FOV Fix & Variable Optics
- Ultimate Clear NVGs
- SPT Realism Mod
- SAIN 2.0
- Watch Animations
Let me know if you'd like to see more in-depth demonstrations or if there are other mods you'd like to see played for the show. I'll post the list I'm keeping in the Discord server that will launch when I hit 500 subscribers.
In the next episode, I'll talk more about the SPT Realism Mod and SAIN 2.0, the two mods that seem to be making the largest impact on my SPT experience overall. We'll look at what features they bring to the game and what changes they make to create dynamic and engaging raids.

I'm really appreciating these videos. I've been a serious Tarkov player since FrankieOnPC made his video on Tarkov 5 or so years ago. Goat's video on cheating coupled with my own experiences really made me rethink why I play Tarkov, and after 3 destroyed altyn face shields from 100m away, i've moved over to SPT. This video really helps.

I've always got Fontaine's FOV Fix and Variable Optics running. It's got ARMA style zoom, configurable.

absolutely love your content on SPT. also somewhat glad I'm not the only one that gets that rattling sound on the current version... thought it was something a mod was doing for a while tbh lol also, I think you'd really like immersive raids and the DRIP mods. makes raid time match irl time and DRIP gives you tons of extra clothes and colored armors to choose from, alongside a bunch of new quests :)

Great video! Always good to see mods "in action" as it were. Lets people know what a mod can do exactly before downloading and installing it. Keep up the good work, dude! Also....29:17 I have never seen a PMC pull their melee weapon and attack with it! That was awesome. Must have been something changed by SPT Realism, I'm guessing. I use SAIN's and haven't seen that before.

Thank you! I have definitely wanted this sort of video for other games and mods in the past, so I hope I can continue to be helpful. And I know, right?! How cool was that! What actually happened was I happened to shoot his forearm, which caused him to drop his firearm per the Realism Mod (I think), and he automatically drew the knife to come at me. I think our character models were colliding, especially with my rifle out, and he wasn't able to strike before I drew the pistol and blasted him. SO crazy.

@@thestarvox Oh yeah. I bet it was. I've had some crazy encounters with the AI in my own play-time with modded SPT. Though for me the bots tend to favor only their primary weapon and rarely swap to any alternate like their pistol or melee, so it was crazy to see that in your video.

Yeah, we're going in-depth with SPT Realism Mod next episode and SAIN will be in the one after that. There's a lot to cover and it can be difficult to provoke some of the mechanics in raids for demonstrations!

Awesome video I will definitely make sure to watch all your videos on SPT. I just found out about SPT yesterday and it’s gonna keep me playing Tarkov. I am a father to a little one year old boy so I don’t get much time to grind Tarkov like I used too plus with all the cheaters and rats in the game it’s made me quit playing online. I could only play a raid or two each night and was tired of fighting giga chad level 50 or higher no life gamers. Looks like some awesome mods in this video.

Hell yeah, thanks for watching! SPT is great for anyone with a modern life. The ability to pause the action or leave a raid without consequence makes Tarkov playable for everyone, no matter how busy or responsible.

Thank you for all the SPT content, its greatly appreciated. However I did have a question, as a newbie to Tarkov (the entire game, not just SPT) I do have trouble identifying friends/foes. Any tips regarding this, or is there some settings in the server value modifier to turn all pmc's & scavs hostile? Again, thank you so much for the content! hope to see you hit 1K subs soon

Thank you! That's one of the hardest things for me about the game, for sure. Early on, in random matches online, I'd often blast my teammates in the dark because I was unprepared or partnered with silent peers. A good rule of thumb with current Tarkov is that most AI will seem to spot you as soon as you spot them; any character that suddenly locks onto you from afar and starts shooting precisely is almost certainly a bot and won't be friendly under any circumstances. For teammates online, definitely coordinate and communicate. Put on some armbands and wear colors or lights. \ In SPT, you can definitely adjust AI hostility using a variety of mods. The Server Value Modifier has some settings for that, same for the SAIN mod, and maybe some others. I can remember specifically a few values that determine how likely it will be for a bot to be hostile, but can't remember exactly where that is.

you should check out the swag + donuts mods, it allows bots to spawn in way more areas than before as well as allows you to create span points for bots in game altho the default donut spawns are already enough imo. servphs third person is another camera altering mod that gives a division feel to the game and also gives the option for a helmet cam that while it is very nauseating it is also very cool. the traveler mod makes it so that you start on customs and need to go through extracts to reach other maps/traders/ and 3 different stashes

Yeah, was gonna say the same thing, swag + donuts is a must have when you play for so long. Sometimes they spawn in wild places, so cool, keep you on your toes more

You should try out the enhanced melee damage (1 hit kill) - I was wandering around lighthouse swamp village and completely forgot that was a spawn area for the cultists. Needless to say my 1 life hardcore run was a wrap lol - added a new terror for me, and honestly they're way harder than any boss now.

@@thestarvox 1 life runs have become my new addiction - play a "zero to hero" profile with the "Path to Tarkov/Traveller" mod, and whatever mods you like to play with as long as they don't break the game too hard. It's so good, the single life aspect combined with the come up from a zero to hero on path to tarkov is like story mode for tarkov.

24:30 the weird angle on the weapon is similar to what I experienced when changing binds in raid. Out of raid no issue though afaik.

Great content again. BTW do you feel like the SAIN mod does make AI push you more compared to vanilla? To me it seems a bit too much / unreal that they would rather push you than wait for you to come and expose yourself.

in my experience with the mod, it makes the bots really aggressive, which I'm a pretty big fan of personally. in combination with looting bots, you slowly get more and more juiced up bots roaming around the raid too

Thank you! The SAIN mod definitely makes AI push me a lot more, for sure. For me, it feels more universe-friendly than it did at first, as I'm feeling like actual PMC squads in Tarkov would indeed operate that aggressively just in an attempt to succeed. Most wouldn't last long, there'd be skirmishes that no one would survive and grenades in hallways, AND they'd be drunk or on meds making them more YOLO than regular folks would be. It's really making me play and fight differently, having to really make the most of what the player character can do.

Try the AI limit by Props mod Gave me like 40fps back. It lets you disable ai processes at a set distance. I have mine set to about 400m so still lots of activity but ai on the extreme edge of maps will be paused till I get close. Might help you out. Works with SAIN as well.

@@gjdriessen1 personally I ended up just using the dlss update mod and just use the cheapest version of that. if you don't have a card capable of dlss, the graphics presets are a good place to start imo

Whats the difficulty of SAIN are u using Starvox? i reduce the "difficulty" to 0.7 but still got shot far away even when im in a bush.

Something similar, I think, especially for this video. I tried to reduce their skill level, can't remember what I adjusted it to just now, but can check later. This recording was the only time that day I was able to get that far into a raid, lol.

Is there a mod to actually pause the raid in SPT? I have a new born so I have to get up quite often, so I wanted to try SPT, but being able to pause would be even better.

There is! Actually there are a few mods with the ability to pause the raid, but "Take A Rest" is one that's standalone. It's so practical to be able to pause the game, makes playing so much more sustainable.

Yes, I think it starts on another key and also the toggle needs to be configured. You can adjust the state and magnification in the BepInEx menu.

Very cool. Would love more stuff like this. I hope Nikita doesn't strike it because he's an immoral @**. I'm an SPT modder, I've created a few cool mods that you might like: ALGORITHMIC LEVEL PROGRESSION and ALGORITHMIC QUEST RANDOMIZER Both I think would belong right at home in SPT-AKI base game.

I agree and welcome to the channel! I've already taken precautions in case that third strike comes in, but I think I've been able to demonstrate that I'm not out to get BSG and that I'm pretty much a time slave to their game at this point. I've even received comments saying that one of my videos convinced them to finally buy the game, so I'm hoping we'll be alright on this channel for a long time. There's more coming though!

That comes with SPT-AKI, a necessary part. It's called BepInEx and it's also used to manage mods in some other games.

What's the advantage of vanilla hip shooting vs point shooting?

For me, it's mostly about moving the model of the gun right into the center of my vision. Feels natural, slows the character down just a bit, and changes the angle of shooting from just off to the right a bit to the center of my character's mass.

So I’m curious I kinda only want a vanilla Tarkov single player with ai scavs and ai pmcs. Is this possible. Like as close to the online servers as possible just without other real people

Definitely. That sort of setup for SPT-AKI is actually the easiest to achieve and you'd only need one or two essential mods. I would use the KMC Server Value Modifier to control raid and character mechanics, as well as the traders and flea market, and SAIN 2.0 for robust and diverse AI bots.

It seems capable of that, but I actually haven't gotten the camera path mechanics to work. Whenever I try to set positions or a patch for the camera to follow, it breaks and stops working altogether, lol. It would be very helpful for videos, I think.

There isn't a full update to the new version of live Tarkov for SPT yet, but there are mods that port some of the content into SPT 3.6.1.

I don't think that there is one. There isn't much merit to swapping versions or downgrading, it's all still being developed every day. Just stay up to date and the mods should work, basically.

Are you saying that you're using the Active Aim stance in Realism? I can't think of a reason it would get stuck in that position, so I don't know.

@@thestarvox I opened SPT again .. My weapon is vertical in stance position, but when I right click to aim the weapon go inclined like if I have a side scope ... If I delete realism mod it go back to normal, if I paste realism mod again, even from a original archive, problem come back

sadly vidoes that show how to install mods get taken down. incase you dont know all these mods are available on the spt-aki site in which they should all have instructions on how to install either on t he page you downloaded the mod or in the folder of the downloaded mod

Nope, SPT-AKI is single-player only. I thought it might be cool to add a co-op component, but have since stopped thinking that.

Funny how people have ao manny problem with tarcov i play it now for 2 weeks after a long stop and heavly modded And 0 problem running easly over 150fps and no stutters one single time And sieng all these other youtubers having problems there is more going on then the game So mabey reasons that can make it stutter what is not game related Yes audio can stutter games but rearly happends if this is the case the fucked it up really bad and yes i amd a former game developers after 11 years i stoped developing in january this year so i do know what i a m talking about
