Why do so many of these pundits predict that England will win? They've been scraping by in most of the tournamentin an easy side of the draw. It was only against the Netherlands that they decided to wake up and it was against a weak Netherlands. Meanwhile Spain has been convincingly beating the powerhouses. They comfortably beat Croatia, Italy, France, and Germany . They also destroyed a confident Georgia was playing their best ever football. Spain is the obvious favorite. Edit: that being said, it's not like I'm saying that it's impossible for England to win. After all, they have great players and football is unpredictable. I strangely feel confident England can win. I think people are going way overboard predicting Spain will win easy. England have far more quality than Germany and far more deadly upfront than France. For the whole tournament England have played teams who defended in a low block except Holland for the first half and when England players had more space they looked the best they had played the whole tournament. Spain play open attacking football and the England team will get more space and England is built for counter attacking football.
