All they need to do is to not have gay sex publicly. That's it. They can do it at whatever hotel they stay at and in private without getting caught.

13:00 I'm an OG Fnatic fan, and I dont often use the word fan to describe myself. I have a bunch of signed jerseys (for real signed, not the ones they sell with the signatures printed on them) including the legendary CSGO roster, I've bought mouse mats etc over the years all because I liked the fact they were proper esports people. That tweet from Sam makes me wonder if he's finally 100% sold-out. I try to never fund anything that might benefit the Saudi's, I started pirating WWE when they signed the Saudi deal, I've stopped watching esports pretty much all together and I'm one of the few people who actually spent money supporting esports...

I agree with your stance on Saudi sports washing and despise it. But an argument about the pay disparity between men’s and women’s prize pool is a moot point. When it is all in relation to performance and ability of the athletes, commercial success, sponsorships, influence and audience. The scene isn’t as big so why unjustifiably provide a similar prize pool when it has a tenth of the revenue? It is an entertainment and performance based industry.
@dudemanryan2 ай бұрын
I think he's just pointing out the double standard that some people/orgs are using because they have advocated for equal pay in the past but they are being silent on it for WESG. If you're going to say you stand for something i.e. lgbtq rights, equal pay, etc. then you should stand for it and not drop it for a bag of money
@firstLast-jw7bm2 ай бұрын
realistically the women are even overpaid by virtue of the fact that so few people watch their games (generate very little revenue, in many games they even lose money)
@CountCocofang2 ай бұрын
While you are correct of course, that did not stop people from ignoring that context and criticizing that disparity. So the point is: Where are these complaints now? Now all of a sudden people acknowledge the context of the female division simply being smaller and therefore receiving less prize money? Suddenly that context is convenient and sound?

Rennsport is an interesting one. Savvy think (and they're not totally wrong about this) that sim racing titles can largely be substituted for each other, and so with ESL are producing their own esports-focused simracer that they'll have full control over. I don't think average simracer fans are convinced by it yet, as a lot of its marketing has been very smoke and mirrors, but it's one worth following if you want to see Savvy sinking or swimming on their own sword here.
@hsanrb2 ай бұрын
I don't think anyone has realistic expectations for Rennsport anymore. I don't see the big names on it, I don't see people interested in it, and despite throwing money into "Were eSports!" even Gran Turismo has a bigger scene than Rennsport. That is probably the big difference about Rennsport and every other sim, they let the public do the same races as the eSports pros regardless of franchise. I can login tomorrow and do the same iRacing special event, or the same GTWS qualifier race as the pros. How do you have an eSports scene for a game in which I cannot participate, much less buy right now?

Richard, that monopoly game is a legit game. It takes a certain period of time but your dices refresh and you progress on the board. There's massive facebook communities and huge networks within the game since there's a card trading aspect in there too. My mom is addicted to the game, she spent like $55 on it last month.

You have a great tendency to cut through a lot of the bullshit (may your liver live to see a thousand more summers) but, the piers morgan interview with the IDF representative regarding casualties, would be valuable not to see your "take", but analysing it like the wreck it is. as far as i know, most countries don't send you to prison for being gay, trans or whatever. Which is basically a guarantee of your safety.
@GreatYamatanoOrochi2 ай бұрын
Watch the bloody video, mate. This is safety guarantee from the Saudi government itself, so they don't club you for being a bit too gay for their tastes. Also, most other countries don't put you at risk of being executed because someone felt haram vibes from you. Guaranteeing your safety should be the bare minimum.
@CountCocofang2 ай бұрын
You clearly only read the title and didn't watch the video, as it addresses this. There is a difference between not being able to guarantee safety from potential random nutters that hide among the crowd or not being able to guarantee safety from the actual government and law enforcement.
