There is definitely room for error when installing a roof vent and it can go VERY bad quickly 😂 Luckily we got it in successfully and it’s been holding up to the Oregon rain so far! Stay tuned for more on this build series, and thanks for watching!

I want to give you and anyone installing a maxxair fan some important advice. Maxxair does not seal the circuit board in their fans. Over time, which isn't real long, moisture gets to the circuit board and it fails. Take the circuit board out and spray it with a conformal or coat it with clear fingernail polish. This seals and protects it. Mine went out and now the circuit boards are on backorder until late January and the price for my model is $140.00!!!!!! Outrages!!!! I removed the circuit board and installed a digital speed control and a dpdt switch. For as much as these fans cost this oversight, or scam, however you see it, is unacceptable.

Sorry about that, definitely forgot that. I simply trimmed them back and hid them up under the walls etc. My advice would be to consult a automotive electrician/mechanic before removing any wires! Thanks for commenting

@@SeizeTheAdventure Your video really helped me see how my van is built on the in side cause I have a stock conversion 94 ford very similar that I travel around and live in but I’m looking to build it out my self , Great video little tip would been cool to see u doing the wall framing as that’s one of those things that a visual aid really helps :)
