Tony and EMMY nominated TV Icon, Charlotte Rae, launches her new memoir (co-authored with her son, Larry Strauss), entitled “The Facts Of My Life.” Broadway audiences may remember actress, Charlotte Rae, from stage roles such as Mammy Yokum in “Li'l Abner,” but is perhaps best known for her role as Mrs. Garrett on the hit TV series “Diff'rent Strokes” and “The Facts of Life.” Her career, from “Car 54 Where are you?” and “Sesame Street's” Molly the Mail Carrier, to her current role opposite Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline in “Ricki and the Flash,” has been long and eclectic ... and not without its struggles and sacrifices.
